What an incredible night at Deville ! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was electric. The food was absolutely delicious, but what truly made our evening unforgettable was our waiter, Ali. His energy was contagious, & his attention to detail was impeccable. Ali went above & beyond to ensure we had a memorable dining experience, recommending perfect wine pairings & sharing interesting tidbits about the menu. His friendly demeanor & professional service elevated our night from great to extraordinary. we'll definitely be coming back soon. If there were a Hall of Fame for servers, Sophie would already have a bronze statue... wearing a chef's hat, juggling plates, & balancing a tray on her head. This woman is a legend. The moment she walked up to our table, we knew we were in for an experience. Let's talk real quick about her service - her timing? Impeccable. Her recommendations? Life-changing. I asked for water, & somehow, it tasted better just because Sophie brought it. Oh & lest we forget, her water refills everytime I gobbled down my glass. Our appetizers arrived at the speed of light, & the way she delivered it? I swear, it was like watching an Olympic figure skater glide across the ice type of vibe. She checked on us just enough. Not too much to feel like I was being interviewed by the FBI, but enough to make me wonder if she should be invited to Christmas dinner. Sophie doesn't just serve food; she serves *moments*. She even remembered my obscure allergy to a certain shape of onion, I like to call it a *psychological allergy*, cuz I'm only allergic to it if I know there's onions in the dish😅... hence why I used to love onion rings until I found out that... well I guess u can guess the rest. Let's not forget that when her section got slammed all at once (trust me we saw it fill up outta nowhere) she sent over another waiter to look after us while she was busy being superwoman elsewhere. Exquisite level of attention to detail if you ask me. & the gentleman (mistakenly did not catch his name) was nothing short of amazing too! He told us his age (mid 30s) & I could've sworn that brother wasn't a day over 20😉. He had only been there for three weeks, but it seems like he had been there since before that building was ever even built. In short: Sophie is really one of two.. alright I'll say it, one of one servers-give this woman a raise, a medal, & possibly a reality TV show. All in all sophie, I hope your managers give you the due diligence of making sure that you get to read this review, & that it only helps to elevate you & your service even further! Amazing Experience at Deville Dinerbar! Deville Dinerbar is hands down one of the best spots in downtown Montreal! The retro ambiance mixed with a modern twist creates the perfect vibe for any occasion. The menu is a fantastic mix of comfort food classics with an upscale touch-everything from their gourmet burgers to their mac & cheese is out of this world. The portions are generous, the drinks are creative, & the service is always top-notch. If you're looking for a unique dining experience with delicious food & great energy, Deville Dinerbar is a must-visit!
Loved our lunch here, superb service & lovely decor with the pink & white giving Barbie at the bar. Loved everything from brunch today & the staff were very attentive & friendly. We ordered the carbonara, the mighty nice salad , the French toast. All of the flavours were amazing. Really Enjoyed the weekend at Bernie's & au cheval burgers . The food was excellent with very generous portions.
I had the wonderful opportunity to dine here last Saturday night. I sat at the bar & ordered the Bone-in Chicken Parm & a Ceaser Salad. Let me tell you this... It was to die for the salad was cold fresh & had a delicious flavor. I would order that over & over. The main course was amazing. Huge portion & wonder taste. I couldn't finish it all. I am a big guy, & I walked away full & 100% satisfied. The bar tender was exceptional, & her personality was so inviting & warm. The owner stopped by & asked how my meal was. A great touch & made a customer feel valued. I will be there again to try their other dishes. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
The price is honestly expensive. The portions are large. Compared to other restaurants that sell similar menus, it is expensive but the portions are large. The servers were friendly & the restrooms were clean. But the food was good so I will visit again. The only regret is that I wish the kids' menu was sold only on weekend mornings. The portions are large even for adults. The plates are too big for kids.
My first time here & I intend to come back every time I visit Montreal. It has awsome food, chilling vibe & perfect customer service. I was server by Samuel, that made me feel very welcomed amd gave me great suggestions of dishes. It has good music & a nice external aerea as well. I recommend it 1000%
Overall, for the price I was a little disappointed & expected more in terms of food quality & service. The chicken & waffles were okay but pretty standard for chicken & waffles... Could have done with some heat. The Brazino was excellent but the beef ribs were at best'Meh'... too charcoaled on the outside, not tender enough on the inside...edible but not worth the 50 bucks. Most likely would have complained, but no one asked how our meal was after the main courses were served.
Delicious food, priced higher due to in prime location. My husband said their black tie burger is the best burger he ever had. & he is a burger connoisseur. One of the better testing food we ate in Montreal during our trip. It's definitely worth a visit.
Had a wonderful experience at Deville tonight; Samuel was taking care of us & he went above & beyond in every way! He noticed I was cold & even got me a jacket to wear!! This level of service I don't see anywhere else. Thank you!
