Deville Dinerbar was one of those places you visit without expectations but leave at the end of the night blown away. This may be one of the best eating experiences in Montreal from a food quality & presentation. What a great dinner style atmosphere & super friendly staff. Chef John puts passion into all of his dishes & runs a very impressive kitchen full of beautiful presentation.
Great food, Great Presentation, Great atmosphere would highly recommend. Don't forget the dessert, maybe the best I've eaten in Montreal, wow!! Easy parking with public parking lot right next door. Fantastic walking area especially if it's summer time. A must visit would highly recommend 👍👍

Location is good at the middle Downtown. The burger & French dessert were so amazing & good quality. The red wine & Prosecco were nice. Just the service was slow, it was not busy Friday but we waited for our waiter too long

I was there a week ago & everything about this place was amazing! Chloe was SUCH a sweetie pie! She was a delight to talk to & she was VERY patient with us! NOW THAT CHEF JOHN🙂??? I NEED HIM AT MY WEDDING!!! That man knows how to COOK! The dessert in the picture had all of us passing away to heaven. THAT'S HOW GOOD IT WAS! I even gave John a hug. When I tell you they all took care of us INCLUDING the owner I MEAN IT!! I hope every single one of their pillows are cold on both sides everytime their heads touch it!!! I'll definitely be coming back & hopefully I'll see Chloe & John there again! Thank you bunchies!!🥰

We went there on a Saturday early evening & we were a party of 3 with a 2 years old baby. Very friendly & attentive staff who welcomed us & were very patient & friendly with our baby. They do have indoor & outdoor seatings but I highly recommend the outdoor seatings since the weather was nice during our visit in late September. The atmosphere was a little bit loud since they play really loud music but at the end before our leave the music becomes more quiet & less noisy. Food was delicious & portions are easy to share with a group. I'd visit again to try their desserts.

Food, atmosphere , location. It has it all.
Nice cozy street in the middle of bustling neighborhood.
Beautifully designed, the restaurant provides accommodation for any occasion. Thoughtful distribution of different areas inside makes it possible to enjoy your evening, party or romantic dinner at all times. The bar in the middle looks vibrant & inviting.
& then the food. Delicious.
Excellent execution. Beautiful presentation. The menu is impressive & extensive. Whatever you crave for you will be satisfied. Portions are generous. Any modification is possible. Every single course , be it meat, pasta, salad or dessert , is prepared at the top level.
You want to try it all!
Same feeling for the bar. If you don't find your ideal drink just ask for it & you will be happy.
The team is professional. You feel welcome & cared for.
You don't need an occasion to be there.
Just go.

I was by myself & sat at the bar, not sure what to expect. I just went in because it was dinnertime & I was passing by, but the food & drinks were excellent. Zev & Lauren, the two bartenders were incredible! They were so friendly & I had a great time chatting with them. Usually when I go out to eat by myself I just eat my meal quickly & leave, but I had such a nice time that I even ordered dessert. (The oreo milkshake is delicious)

I was searching for a place for a light meal near our hotel. This diner bar popped up on my radar. Didn't expect this place to be suitable for kids. They even have a kids menu (not a physical one but a verbal one).

When we arrived, we felt under dressed since there were patrons in smart casual attire. We were immediately guided upstairs where there were casually dressed people like us. We notice a few tables with families with kids. Our kids ordered mac & cheese unfortunately did not taste good & the burger wasn't the best. They ordered an orange juice but got apple. Kids didn't even have the appetite for dessert.

The music was too loud to even communicate properly which led to a miscommunication - mix up of an order. Thankfully they rectified it.

Overall this place wasn't for us, but I guess others might say otherwise.

'Love it! The staff day & night are so welcoming & attentive. Steak & baked ziti were delicious . Breakfast was too sweet for me. Apple Dutch pancake was a sticky toffee dessert not really a breakfast dish. The lightness & flavour of the waffles were réminiscent of donuts. Thé atmosphère was nolstalgic & lively with relaxed & energetic vibe. Fun night out!'

I first tried deville & never expected for it to be that good! Since then I started to come almost everyday as they have a variety of options. From salads, to pasta, desserts, & good red wine. The waiter is so sweet his name was Ali. He helped us picking our dishes & it was so tasty!!!

Le repas était bon & la serveuse gentille mais je ne me suis jamais sentie aussi oppressé dans un restaurant que dans celui ci. En 1h la serveuse est venue au moins 15 fois nous voir & sans exagérer. Je n'avais même pas fini mon plat qu'elle a demandé pour débarrasser j'ai dit que je n'avais pas fini, elle est revenue quelques minutes plus tard pour redemander la même chose je n'avais toujours pas fini mais je lui ai dis qu'elle pouvait ramasser... mon amie & moi étions coupé sans arrêt dans nos conversations. C'était un moment vraiment désagréable & cela nous a donné envie de partir & de ne pas prendre de dessert. Je ne reviendrai pas.

Nous sommes venus prendre un petit déjeuner.... très copieux & excellent ! Le personnel à l'entrée est très réservé mais le serveur est très sympathique. Les assiettes étaient très copieuses & nous nous sommes régalés. Petit bémol pour les pancakes à la rose qui sont arrivés pas complètement cuits, de la pâte coulante sortait du pancake... dommage. Nous l'avons fait remarquer & ils nous ont repris le plat en nous disant qu'il y en avait pour 6mn cependant nous avons attendu plus de 25mn ..... Toute notre table avait terminé de déguster ses plats. Ils nous ont juste oubliés. Ils se sont Largement rattrapés en nous offrant des desserts !

This place def is not as great before Covid as it was the best of the best in term of price & quantity along with taste in 2015-2019 era but as we know everything changed for restaurants after covid. It still is a great place for meatball pasta which is one of the best cities, & their wide dessert selection. The sandwiches & burgers got very pricy for what it is as now you are little cheaper than the 5 star steakhouse burgers & hotel bars burgers. However, I still think this place still one of the best comfort food place in the city.

Modern/elevated comfort food in a cool diner-style lounge atmosphere. Everything we ordered (the bad girl pasta, the prime rib dip) was yummy, & even the kids' meals were good. Good drink selection, both alcoholic & non-alcoholic, as well as milkshakes & dessert. Service was friendly & on point even though our server was busy with a large party for a birthday. There was plenty of seating inside & a small covered outdoor area.
