Del Friscos is described as a reliable choice with a broad range of vegan options, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere. The service is often praised for attentiveness and friendliness, even when the restaurant is busy. The menu features pizzas, pastas, seafood and chicken dishes, with many noting especially tasty pizzas and oven baked specialties. While most visits are positive, there are occasional criticisms about certain dishes being inconsistent, meals arriving lukewarm or underseasoned, and slower or uneven service during peak times. Overall, it is seen as a versatile option for families and groups with good value for money and a lively yet comfortable vibe.
It started off a bit rocky, the maître D was a bit snooty & yelled at at to shut the door (we were holding it open for a mother carrying a baby & her husband). We got seated, the tables are very close together but it wasn't uncomfortable. The waiter was very friendly but not overly. Came at the right time & didn't bug us with annoying small talk. Overall the food was pretty good. Definitely "fast food" Italian but not bad. In other words the pasta isn't made fresh & the sauces are standard. The crouton in the Caesar were bad, oily & not edible. But everything else was pretty good. Huge portions & REALLY good dessert I would certainly return & skip the croutons. The pictures are the linguini rosé Primavera, Caesar salad & the chocolate cake.
A hopping & well known Italian eatery in the West Island, deserving of the praise earned over the years. We visited on a Monday night & it was exceptionally busy, even following a heavy snow fall (always a good sign). The oversize single-page double-sided menu has all the options you would expect from a restaurant of this type...a nice selection of appetizers, a grouping of salads, & choices of pastas, pizzas & some fish & meats. For our meal we started with the Minestrone Soup (very good, maybe a touch too much pepper but still very enjoyable with plenty of veggies) & the special of the night Broccoli & Zucchini soup (very good), followed by Vegano Salad ( a plant based chicken salad with a sweet & spicy Szechuan style sauce...it was absolutely huge...equivalent to 3 portions for us!!!! - See the video for reference) & Louisiana Salmon (excellent...also with a huge portion of mashed potatoes & veggies on the side). We ended with a very moist & tasty layered chocolate cake (the downer was they use Hersey syrup for the chocolate sauce...very noticeable). Service was very friendly with a special call out to Maddie who took great care of use, ensuring the food came out quickly & all of our needs being taken care of. Certainly worth a visit...consider it as part of a dinner & movie plan as the Guzzo theatre is 50m around the corner. Enjoy!

Generally a solid restaurant & used to be my Italian affordable go to in Montreal until I had 3 bad experiences in a row with their chicken Parmesan- which was one of the best tasting & texture in the city for the money. But when I had 3 times a rubbery & odd texture chicken breast on 3 different occasions, where twice management insisted there was nothing wrong with the chicken breast thigh it was very undesirable - I decided to call it quits. But this week my dining partner wanted to go & well, I am a gluten for punishment - or so I thought. This time I ordered capelinni pasta with half bolognese & half marinara sauce & it was perfect. My dining partner had their 7oz roasted chicken breast with veggies & a house salad. Both were just fine & the breast was actually cooked well & no odd frozen like rubbery chicken breast - whew. This being stated one issue I have here all the time - is the unreasonably loud noise level most of the time, especially during key days & times. This was especially nasty when we went, as there were 3 parties going on, however, there appeared to be a kids party where the adults decided not to calm the kids in the slightest even though they were clearly screaming in the restaurant en mass & where the entire restaurant was overrun with the noise. Management did nothing to try & deal with the blatant inconsiderate lack of parenting from the adults. I'm fine with kids parties & with noise, but when you cannot hear the person sitting in front of you (because of one tables being too loud) that is just way too much & not acceptable. This is not a McDonalds this is a classy family-ish dining restaurant with a fine wine list & bar. This was wrong on so many levels from a (lack of) management that I won't even comment, & also wrong from the adults (perhaps parents?) who just gabbed amongst themselves & didn't pay any attention to the kids. So lesson here. Though the server was lovely & great at getting the order & the meal was delicious, I have to think twice if I wish to refer people here again - if they are looking for a decently calm environment & if they wish to be able to relax & speak comfortably with the people they are trying to have a nice dining out experience. You get my point right? So to note, all their dishes are great, French fries are one of the best in town, wood oven fired pizza is great, all pastas are spot on & their appetizers are great too. If it were not for this experience I would say go, go now, & have a chicken Parmesan while you're at it. But one I would not recommend the chicken Parmesan just to be safe & two, I do not know what hours coincide with one's desire to eat/dine in a calm environment. For the price there are many places to have equally great Italian food without the noise level & crazy kids parties. So you choose. Food wise, you should be just fine & the atmosphere is actually nice as is the bar with the big screen TV's to enjoy sports events while eating & drinking. If you have kids - given management does not care about its clients enough to calm noisy kids down, bring them there as this would be perfect for you & your kids, & why not have a kids party there instead of McDonalds & feed the kids some yummy quality made food. Who knows, maybe this becomes the next best place for kids parties with adult quality Italian cuisine with great alcohol Anyway, enjoy & don't forget dessert. I'm not a chocolate person but I did try their heated up chocolate brownie al la mode with vanilla ice cream & drizzled chocolate chips & chocolate & caramel syrup. Wow is all I can say !!! A must have, maybe start with this & then order food later.
Although they messed up my order, it was no problem to get my food how I wanted it. Aside from that, everything was delicious & the service was great! The calamari is a must have! My son & husband always enjoy the linguini Della Nona, as well as their pizzas. I usually opt for the grilled chicken. They have something for everyone... vegan options, all kinds of salads, sandwiches, fish/seafood, chicken, & pasta of course. Portions are big... Your tummy will thank you:)
Went with our family, nice restaurant, Massimo was amazing. I tried the Minestrone & pork chop. I didn't like the Minestrone, it didn't taste fresh, few beans, & pasta. The pork chop was amazing. Plate with a perfectly cooked bone-in chop, charred on the outside, tender & juicy inside.
Great Italian food & wood-oven pizza in the West Island. Spacious dining area & a great bar section for a quick pizza or drinks. We had appetizers (deep fried calamari & fried zucchini), & they were both delicious, crispy, & abundant. The Pollo Classico as fantastic -- we chose a mix of delicious pasta alla oglio & grilled vegetables as our sides. This meal also comes with either a soup or a salad (at $4 more), so we were stuffed ! Great ambience too !

Slightly-better-than-mediocre Italian-themed West Island resto, frequented by the younger crowds & accompanying families, as well as movie-goers (owing to the adjacent theater. A bit on the pricey side, with passable appetizers, pasta & pizza...caveat: this is NOT a BYOB restaurant.
Be prepared for a longer-than-usual wait-time on a busy weekend evening, & an (at times) uncomfortable noise level (if a quiter environment is "your thing").
