Honestly it's going down in quality. The portions are smaller & the price is higher. Got a poutine for 9$, potatoes were not fully cooked & the plate smaller. I remember this place much better... I feel like they are trying to cut cost & jeopardize on quality unfortunately.
Décarie Hot Dogs is HANDS DOWN THE BEST FAST FOOD JOINT TO EVER EXIST!!!!!!!!!! It's been around for more than 60 years (opened in 1969) & it NEVER disappoints, so no wonder it won a bunch of prizes & awards over the years. You can always expect delicious delicious foods such as hot dogs(get the all dressed steamed hot dogs for a Montreal experience & a poutine), cheeseburgers, fries, coleslaw, club sandwich, breakfast, etc... Quick efficient service, cheap prices, good filling greasy food, it doesn't get any better than that. My family has been eating there ever since I can remember, for many decades, I definitely recommend it!!!!!

I was really excited to try it I've been there back in 2010 & it was really good but this time it was really regular hot dog nothing special. Probably won't be coming back again.
For a greasy lunch or dinner, come to Décarie hot Dogs. Not bad junk food, but actually pretty tasty. Heart attack waiting to happen ! Verdict : give it a try, at least once in your lifetime.
best best hot dog & fries in town ! gravy has a peppery taste love it & what makes their poutine unique. i dont go often unfortunately dont live in the area..

One of my favourite poutine spots for a quick grab’n go but prices have been progressively going up (inflation is understandable..) however portions have also been reduced compared to a few years back
This is a Montréal institution when comes to hotdogs & poutine. Went there early to avoid any traffic on the way. Loved the way the staff interacted & offered their services. It is a small spot & on a lovely sunny day, even enjoyable to sit outside & have a bite. I don’t understand why some has complained about the restaurant being small. Do they except fine dining like seating for hotdogs? To me it is just perfect.
The steamiest were one of the best I had in Montréal. Tried their breakfast eggs, toast & fries which was decent. Sadly no poutine coz I went early.
Street parking only so plan your trip accordingly.
Restaurant ouvert depuis DES ANNEES & cest toujours aussi bon! Ce que jaime le plus cest leur poutine. Les employés sont souriant & vraiment sociable ce qui est plaisant. De plus leur service est assez rapide! Le seul probleme cest que lendroit est tres petit & serrer, bon pendant lete cest pas un probleme puisquon peut manger dehors mais appart sa si seulement cetait possible dagrandir le resto ca serait un plus!
They’ve been around for 44 years, a great place for having tasty comfort food (hot dogs, burgers, etc.). There’s nothing fancy about the place, but the owners & those who work there have so much passion & love that makes you leave a lot of tip at the end. They are open 7/7 from 6 AM to 1 AM.
