I'm a bit mixed on Dawa. While the chicken salad was out of this world, I didn't expect it to be the best thing I ate there & yet it was.

I ordered the half&half & while the golden brown chicken was pretty decent, the sweet & spicy chicken was underwhelming. I could hardly taste the gochujang (to the point where I'm not even sure they use any). I've made Korean fried chicken at home & it was much better thanks to the gochujang really coming through.

The place is nice & the service was great but the fried chicken, which was the main reason why I wanted to try Dawa, was disappointing.

All the fried chickens were great! Each person was stuffed by the 8th piece

Cheesling Fries 9/10
Yuzu Salad 7/10

Golden fried chicken 7/10 - really solid basics
Sweet Red chicken spicy 8/10 - also really good, especially with the yellow sauce. It does get a bit sweet after while
Black Pink 9/10 - 100/10 on the first bite, gets a bit sweet after a while, would recommend having another flavor to interchange
Volcano 7/10 - really good but a bit spicy for me. Comes with a cool fire show

Note to self: Should try the truffle flavor next time

One of the best places I've eaten in Montreal. We had the half & half boneless fries chicken, beef bulgogi & udon noodles were some of the best I've ever had. Cheese fries were delicious, fresh & crispy. Inside was not busy at all & the drinks were amazing.

Went on canada day for lunch!
I was craving onion sauce fried chicken that I had eaten in korea a year ago & these were perfect! We also had some rose tteokbokki. Both portions were generous & tasted amazing.
The server was really nice & sweet, great music, & everything was really clean.
100% recommend

The food here is great. Best korean fried chicken & Tteokbokki I've had in montreal. Been there around 7-8 times & I always come out of there super satisfied.

Portions are very generous for the price too! Really worth it.

Amazing Korean food!! The chef (Sean) & server (Jule) are such kind, friendly people. The service, the food, everything was 10/10. I got half & half chicken, rice & kimchi. SO GOOD! I will be coming back!!
