I was conflicted by the mixed reactions online, so I decided to give it a try myself.
I ordered the sweet & spicy chicken with steamed rice. I wasn't really a fan of the rice-it tasted almost like it had some kind of vinegar base, & for me, the flavour was way too strong.
BUT LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THE CHICKEN. 😭
It almost tasted like General Tao, but made with what tasted like real, good-quality chicken. Crispy coating on the outside, soft & tender inside, with that perfect sweet-&-spicy sauce. I chose mildly spicy, so it wasn't flaming hot, just enough spice to give it a little kick.
Honestly, it was such a pleasure to eat. This is the first time in a long time that I genuinely enjoyed sweet & spicy chicken.
I used to be a HUGE fan of General Tao, but after being disappointed so many times with the versions I've tried here in Montreal, I eventually gave up on it.
Then this Korean restaurant came along with its own version, & somehow… it gave me back my trust in Asian cuisine. 😂
The rice wasn't for me, but that chicken? Simply a really good experience.
Half & half crispy chicken 🍗 was only 8 pieces for a whopping 30$!!!! It was crazy expensive for the size & all. It was also not spicy enough… very unfortunate & super underwhelming after the big reviews.

For our first visit, we asked the staff for recommendations & they did not disappoint! The team was super friendly & happily guided us toward their signature chicken platter. We ordered the half-&-half: one side was glazed in a tangy, sweet-spicy sauce (though fair warning as Mexican, it's more flavorful than fiery), while the other side was simply fried with aromatic spices. Both halves were incredibly tender, crispy, & packed with flavor. The plain fried half also came with a tasty honey-mustard-style dipping sauce on the side.
We also ordered the lemon chili fries, which were a true explosion of flavors & absolutely delicious.
Unfortunately, the'Mom's Spicy Tteokbokki' didn't quite hit the mark for me personally. That said, if I come back, & I definitely plan to, I'll be ordering that chicken & those fries again without hesitation. They were absolutely phenomenal.
Tried the Korean BBQ sweet & spicy fried chicken. It was super crispy, juicy inside, & coated perfectly with delicious crunch. Addictive flavour, not greasy at all. Definitely ordering again.
First time trying this restaurant & we were pleasantly surprised! Their chicken is crispy & delicious. We also ordered Tteokbokki (new menu), it was spicy but still very yummy!!
& the service was amazing.
Overall very good for the price, would definitely go back 😀
Hands down, best Korean fried chicken in Montreal. The crispiness, the spicy umami sauce, the melting-tender chicken meat - ouf. Super friendly staff & so accommodating to requests. Kahmsamida!
It worth all pennies you spend here. Its really Kentucky but Korean style & much more quality. If you're in the mood for some straightforward, no-frills fried chicken, this is the place to be. 🍗 They don't serve alcohol here, focusing solely on delivering perfectly crispy fried chicken, made fresh right after you order. Whether you prefer your chicken non-spicy or just a tad spicy, make sure to communicate your spice preferences to the friendly service staff. 🌶? For those visiting for the first time, don't hesitate to ask for recommendations-they're more than happy to guide you through their menu.
The ambiance here is remarkably clean & welcoming, with spotless interiors & washrooms to match. 🧼 It's worth noting that the menu at this location differs from the one at the Mount Royal outlet, as this spot specializes exclusively in fried chicken. Lastly, remember to allow some time for your order to be prepared, as each dish is fried fresh upon request. This ensures your chicken is as hot & crispy as it gets! ?
This is just the 2nd visit review, tried some different things, still as great: Sweet corn, the return Fries, because why not Odentang during the cold months is great to warm us Jeyuk for some spicy pork with rice Go support their great food as well as the background KPop MVs
