Dawa used to be our first place for korean fried chickens for years, but recently it changed a lot. New menus come up, but the fried chichens is not as good as before anymore.
Extremely delicious chicken. Very friendly staff & quiet & cozy restaurant. The sauces make all the difference. You might get lucky & receive a chef delicacy as a bonus. 😋
Nice little cozy place to enjoy fried chicken. It was delicious, crispy & tender juicy inside. Really recommend! Fries were extra crunchy & dumplings were good. I need to try the creamy udon noodles with tempura shrimp next time.

I think their fried chicken is the best in Montreal but It seems to be getting more & more expensive due to the rising cost of materials....I know it's not their fault.
It worth all pennies you spend here. Its really Kentucky but Korean style & much more quality. If you're in the mood for some straightforward, no-frills fried chicken, this is the place to be. 🍗 They don't serve alcohol here, focusing solely on delivering perfectly crispy fried chicken, made fresh right after you order. Whether you prefer your chicken non-spicy or just a tad spicy, make sure to communicate your spice preferences to the friendly service staff. 🌶? For those visiting for the first time, don't hesitate to ask for recommendations-they're more than happy to guide you through their menu.
The ambiance here is remarkably clean & welcoming, with spotless interiors & washrooms to match. 🧼 It's worth noting that the menu at this location differs from the one at the Mount Royal outlet, as this spot specializes exclusively in fried chicken. Lastly, remember to allow some time for your order to be prepared, as each dish is fried fresh upon request. This ensures your chicken is as hot & crispy as it gets! ?

By far the best fried chicken I've had in Montreal, been to like 8 places & this was for sure the tastiest, also really good customer service, gave me 2 extra pieces for free. I never even leave reviews but this place for sure deserves it

We were eating in here. The procedure is to walk up to the counter, browse the menu on wall, order & pay, then sit down & wait for them to bring your order to your table. (You're paying for service before you know if service will be good.) The lacklustre decor is hardly inspiring - basic chairs & small tables, & nothing on the walls. Fortunately, the chicken is fantastic - moist, tender & well-seasoned. However, the menu is lacking in side dishes. There's not much to balance out a plate of meat. French fries & a tiny portion of not very good coleslaw. The rice is good, the miso is good & the pickled turnips are good. But they need to add some veggies that go with rice. Overall, not bad. It's a better meal than fast food, just needs a little more oomph.
This is just the 2nd visit review, tried some different things, still as great: Sweet corn, the return Fries, because why not Odentang during the cold months is great to warm us Jeyuk for some spicy pork with rice Go support their great food as well as the background KPop MVs
I recently dined at DaWa Chicken Restaurant, & it was a delightful experience! The food was flavorful & fresh, especially their signature Korean style fried chicken, which was crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside. The variety of sauces offered added a great twist to the meal. The ambiance was cozy & welcoming, & the staff was attentive & friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed. If you're craving authentic Korean style fried chicken, DaWa Chicken Restaurant is definitely worth a visit!
Best Korean-Style Fried Chicken Restaurant in Montreal One minor drawback is the absence of beer on the menu. It would be amazing to enjoy Chi-Mac (치맥 - Korean fried chicken paired with beer) here! That said, the lack of beer might actually help you stick to your diet & maintain a healthier lifestyle. Highly recommended for authentic Korean flavors!
