DaWa Chicken is widely praised for crispy, juicy fried chicken and sauces that stand out, with many calling it the best Korean fried chicken in Montreal. Reviewers note that the chicken stays flavorful and tender, especially when served with signature sauces and complementary items like pickled radish, onions, or tteokbokki, and they appreciate generous portions and customization for bone-in or boneless orders. The service is repeatedly described as fast, friendly, and accommodating, and the atmosphere as warm, casual, and clean. While the quality is consistently high, a few reviews mention occasional dryness or variability in texture, and some say pricing is on the higher side though regarded as worth it for the portion size and flavor. Overall, DaWa Chicken comes across as a reliable go-to for flavorful, well-executed Korean fried chicken with strong takeout and dine-in experiences, with customers returning for repeat orders and recommending it for both first-timers and regulars.
By far the best fried chicken I've had in Montreal, been to like 8 places & this was for sure the tastiest, also really good customer service, gave me 2 extra pieces for free. I never even leave reviews but this place for sure deserves it
We were eating in here. The procedure is to walk up to the counter, browse the menu on wall, order & pay, then sit down & wait for them to bring your order to your table. (You're paying for service before you know if service will be good.) The lacklustre decor is hardly inspiring - basic chairs & small tables, & nothing on the walls. Fortunately, the chicken is fantastic - moist, tender & well-seasoned. However, the menu is lacking in side dishes. There's not much to balance out a plate of meat. French fries & a tiny portion of not very good coleslaw. The rice is good, the miso is good & the pickled turnips are good. But they need to add some veggies that go with rice. Overall, not bad. It's a better meal than fast food, just needs a little more oomph.
The food is so good & & above & I fwlt like I need to write a reciew after the meal because the customer service is 10/10 they are so nice with me everytime I come & they make me want to come back very good people & food.
This is just the 2nd visit review, tried some different things, still as great: Sweet corn, the return Fries, because why not Odentang during the cold months is great to warm us Jeyuk for some spicy pork with rice Go support their great food as well as the background KPop MVs

Le poulet est vraiment délicieux ! ! Un peu cher avec uber mais ça vaut le coup car cest bien fait! 3 commandes chez eux & jamais été déçue. Je recommande!
I recently dined at DaWa Chicken Restaurant, & it was a delightful experience! The food was flavorful & fresh, especially their signature Korean style fried chicken, which was crispy on the outside & juicy on the inside. The variety of sauces offered added a great twist to the meal. The ambiance was cozy & welcoming, & the staff was attentive & friendly, ensuring we had everything we needed. If you're craving authentic Korean style fried chicken, DaWa Chicken Restaurant is definitely worth a visit!

Best Korean-Style Fried Chicken Restaurant in Montreal One minor drawback is the absence of beer on the menu. It would be amazing to enjoy Chi-Mac (치맥 - Korean fried chicken paired with beer) here! That said, the lack of beer might actually help you stick to your diet & maintain a healthier lifestyle. Highly recommended for authentic Korean flavors!
No frills fried chicken only. No alcohol as well. This store specialise in fried chicken & it's freshly fried after you ordered. For non-spicy or less spicy version, do let the service staff know your spice tolerance when ordering. For first timers to this restaurant, ask the service staff for recommendations. The interior is clean & washrooms are clean too. Do note that the menu is different from the mount royal outlet & this outlet serves fried chicken only. Oh & do factor in some preparation time as it's fried fresh after order.
The chicken was great & the service was even better. We went with a toddler & not only do they have high chairs available, they brought us a plastic cup, plate, spoon, & fork unprompted. Thank you for a great lunch!
