Review Summary

Daou is described as a solid Lebanese spot in Montreal where the food is often fresh and authentic, with praise for flavorful dishes, generous portions, and friendly service in a warm Lebanese inspired setting; some reviews note good value and home style comfort, while others point to inconsistent portions or flavors, missing ingredients in dishes like fattouch and muhamara, and price levels that may exceed the perceived quality, though several diners still call it among the best Lebanese experiences in the city and say they would return.

decent spot if you're craving Lebanese food, though not the best Montreal has to offer. I went with a friend & we ordered the mixed grill plate along with Fattouch, Hummus, & Muhamara. The Fattouch was missing vinegar & pomegranate sauce, & the Muhamara was quite bland & lacked flavor. On the bright side, the grilled meats were well done & enjoyable. I have other go-to spots for Middle Eastern cuisine, so I wouldn't call this my favorite, but it's not a bad option.

Been coming here since I was a kid with my family.... Almost 40 years later - I am Proud to say it's become my 8 year old daughter's favorite restaurant too!!! The tradition lives on! My favorite restaurant for the food but also for all the memories I have made here over the years..... All the classics, fresh & delicious every time.
