Located in a beautiful Victorian dwelling in the heart of Montreal, Ristorante Da Vinci offers its guests elegant and warm surroundings.
From its magnificent mahogany staircase to its high ceilings and natural fireplaces and its private salon to its appetizing antipasto and dessert display, Da Vinci will rejoice both your eyes and your palate.
To compliment your meal, an extensive list of wines from 20 regions of Italy is offered. Before turning to dessert, walnuts are offered to accompany the wine. Then it's time for some classic Italian sweets or a few novelties such as the duo of iced mousse, dark chocolate and amaretto !

From the moment we stepped through the doors, we were transported into an atmosphere of sheer elegance. The refined décor & warm lighting immediately set the stage for what was to come-a culinary journey that exceeded all expectations. The creative presentations were nothing short of art. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted, not only in flavor but in visual appeal. The fresh ingredients shone in every bite, blending traditional Italian flavors with modern techniques that left us in awe. From antipasti to dolce, the menu reflected a perfect balance of authenticity & innovation. The service was impeccable & truly made the evening special. The staff treated us as though we were family, attending to every detail with genuine warmth & care. Whether it was their expert recommendations or the personal touches they added throughout the meal, we felt valued & welcomed in a way that is rare. This restaurant was everything a restaurant should be. The staff & owner (Lav) friendly, welcoming (with everyone who walked in) the restaurant has been around for a long time & Lav is ready to share stories upon your asking (which I did). The food was well presented & tasted every bit as good as it looked. We appreciated the look & the taste so much - totally forgot pics. What put this restaurant over the top was when I couldn't decide between 2 desserts so they gave me both & one being compliments of the house. The vibe in the place says family & anyone who walks in is a part of it. I can't recommend enough & is now on my must visit when in Montreal.View more

My husband & I dined here for our anniversary as family gifted us with gift cards. It is a quaint little restaurant in the heart of downtown. The food was very tasty, the presentation was very pretty, the portions were good, the service was fast & efficient (although the attention we received was overkill - the waiter, although very kind, checked in on us literally every 5 minutes) We were disappointed with the risotto as we expected a thicker consistency, but it was too'soupy' in our humble opinion. The resto serves the cutest complimentary appetizer (first picture- we were 2 so there were 2 of each item). I do recommend if you don't mind spending $$ as the food is excellent, however, the prices are over what I am willing to spend for dining out & so would not return (A bottle of Perrier is $12, my 3 shrimp appetizer is $48, etc)View more

OK so having Italian roots I don't normally go to Italian places because I'm always disappointed in the food & I always think homemade is better but this place is out of this world! Is it pricey?Quite a bit , yes but the vibe is immaculate. The overall charm of this place is Simply splendid the owner of the place is super nice & Vincenzo has my heart, always gives me the best service ever. The food itself is simply amazing. The lamb chops are juicy, & the grilled octopus is simply to die for, I tried many of their dish , & they are all simply amazing, especially their lobster risotto & the ragu di agnello! I have to say I wanted to try this place for a longtime. I have to say I was quite disappointed from arrival to departure From Valet service upon arrival not present The menu is ok but very pricey for what you get. I feel this restaurant has got stuck in the early 2000's & hasn't evolved Plan for 100$+ / head & a 30$ Valet To top it all off had to wait for the valet employee to finish praying to get our car ....View more

Have had the pleasure of dining at Da Vinci's in an intimate, small group & large group settings. All were fun, felt well taken care of & great suggestions on food & wine were appreciated. Les pâtes au homard & safran manquaient de saveur & de générosité, tandis que les pâtes aux fruits de mer, le homard semblaient avoir subi un traitement au micro-ondes le rendant trop cuit. Pour un établissement de renom, l'expérience culinaire était bien en deçà des attentes. Même à un prix réduit, il aurait été difficile d'être impressionné par cette prestation. Le service impeccable est un point positif, mais quand il s'agit de séduire nos papilles, l'expérience culinaire laisse vraiment à désirer. Il est regrettable que même un service exceptionnel ne puisse compenser les lacunes dans la qualité des plats.
