CUP MTL receives a mix of reviews, with many patrons praising its authentic Thai flavors, cozy ambiance, and creative cocktail menu. Enthusiastic visitors frequently highlight the welcoming and attentive service provided by the staff, often citing memorable dining experiences. While many find the dishes delicious and the portions well-suited for a tapas-style sharing experience, some customers have expressed concerns regarding portion sizes relative to the price, a lack of heat in the spicier menu items, and inconsistent experiences during peak hours or special events. Overall, the restaurant is widely considered a charming neighborhood spot that offers a warm, pub-like atmosphere.
The thai food here was so authentic! Every dish from appetizers to main course & desserts, have so much depth & flavour! We lovee the grilled shrimps, satay chicken, thai basil pork, pad thai, & mango sticky rice. great amount of food & they are generous on proteins. The service was outstanding! Wr just can't wait to return!

One of my absolute favourite restaurants in Montreal! Truly incredible Thai food, in a wonderfully welcoming environment. The staff are so friendly & knowledgeable, & the owner, Mathieu, is lovely. I recommend starting with some skewers (chicken satay & shrimp are favourites of mine!), then getting the pad Thai with pork belly & pad pak with some chicken wings, & washing it all down with a refreshing & delicious Cha Yen. & if it's in season the mango sticky rice is to die for.
Came here for a nice late night dinner for 4
& had a great time. The skewer deal for 5 was perfect to share - pork, chicken, & shrimp options, with the pork being our favourite.
Oysters were small but only $1 & topped with fried shallots & a creamy green garlic sauce to die for 🤤. Service was excellent (Pascale & the team gave great recommendations).
Loved the setup - outdoor seating available, & inside has a cozy vibe with big open windows.
Surprised it wasn't busier for a Wednesday because the food, atmosphere, & staff were all on point. We'll be coming back, merci!
Its very okay, i have tried a lot of thai restaurants & this is not the best. I am not sure if its authentic as the waitress didnt know any of the thai meals or plates I mentioned/ ingredients/ etc. Maybe if she was new but the menu is small enough to know it. The kra pow is usually more seasoned, with crispy minced pork but this was mushy & lacking veggies. Ambiance is nice, not authentic but still the inside is beautiful (more of a bar)
Visited this Thai restaurant on Sunday night, Parking was a hassle, & when we arrived at 8:00 PM, the place was empty, which almost made us leave. But we decided to stay & try it out.
We ordered fried pork belly, beef, & fried chicken salad. The pork belly was great, crispy with a tangy dipping sauce. The beef & chicken salad were not bad, both sweet & spicy but tasted pretty similar.
We also tried the mango sticky rice, which was very sweet - sweeter than what I had in Bangkok, with a lot of condensed milk. It seems this place leans toward a sweeter flavor profile.
The place feels more like a bar than a restaurant, with smaller portions that are better for sharing & having drinks. The inside had an odd smell, like it needed some maintenance, maybe sitting outside would be better?
