This is a really cute Thai pub. Great look, great atmosphere. Great for a date or dinner with friends. We ordered the shrimp Curry which was our favorite thing. The Pad Thai was a big let down & just tasted too sweet & lacked a complexity of flavor Pad Thai usually delivers. The curry on the other hand delivered rich Thai flavors & a wonderful presentation. I tried the mango sticky drink made to pay tribute to the dessert of the same name. It tasted sublime & came with a rice pudding lollipop which had my inner child totally light up. The flavors were marvelous but for 14$ a glass I felt a bit ripped off when I found my glass was mostly ice & so I got maybe 4-5 sips out of this. Maybe serving it in a highball glass (mine was a small lowball glass) with less ice would feel more fair? Beautiful joint on a beautiful street but better come by foot because it's a crazy challenge finding parking in that area.
Really wanted to like it but I was disappointed for several reasons. We liked the cocktails but not much else to be honest.
- the restaurant does not cater to vegetarians at all. Their vegetarian dishes contain fish sauce (which can't be removed from the dishes). Also the pad Thai & fried rice can't be made without egg. I find it very disappointing that you don't cater to vegetarians.
- the food came out at different timings. Yes, we understand sharing principle but I feel like a little more effort could have been made to time the dishes better
- we ordered the chef special, we then got told 10 mins later that it wasn't available. Our next favourite dish also wasn't available. Also unfortunate.
- we ordered two curries, one (vegetarian) red curry came in a fish sized plate & the green chicken curry came in a little bowl. Random. Also, the curry seemed more like soup than a creamy curry. Disappointing. Also the rice could have been served nicer
- as we asked to pay the bill the waitress did not know what we ordered, so we had to tell her.
- we ordered a second drink that never came, clearly this was forgotten
At the end, whilst paying, around 9pm. There was a MOUSE running freely in the restaurant. Sorry but that is disgusting. The waitress said this is a normal Montreal restaurant issue but come on. A MOUSE IN A RESTAURANT. This seems very unhygienic.
Sorry, I'm not coming back. I will go to HUM, next door next time.

Stumbled upon this place in search of a Friday lunch, & I was pleasantly surprised on how tasty & authentic the food was. I highly recommend the lunch special that's reasonably priced. Ask for the wine list, it's not on the drink menu. Service was super welcoming & engaging.
I ordered the papaya salad & five (5) satay skewers, which were quite filling even without any carbohydrates. For drinks, the Mango Sticky cocktail is a unique & interesting option to try. The cocktail menu's creative naming adds a playful touch & makes every drink sound worth trying..
Owners are incredibly friendly, an incredibly welcoming & Fun atmosphere with an amazing staff , would definitely come again during the world Cup season. the food is probably is the best Thai food in Montreal & the drinks were amazing!
We had a very disappointing & frustrating experience. The table d'hôte wasn't transparent on its content: neither the waiter nor the menu explicitly said that the soup was to be shared, especially for its price. The food took 1 hour & a half to come, & it was lukewarm. We told the waiter that the rice was cold & he just put it in the microwave. The drink came in a tin can which could pose a risk of cutting us. We have notified the waiter that a member of our party was allergic to peanuts & yet, he got a an allergic reaction from the food.
The food is soooooo good! We ordered grilled chicken with eggplant dip & also their house-made sausage. I'm Thai, I would prefer my dishes to be extra spicy but other than that everything was just perfect. The drink I ordered is so good. I can taste a hint of melon in it. The staff is very friendly, even the chef greeted us at the table. Great job to the whole team. I will definitely be back. 👍🏼
