Crèmerie Meetha in Montreal is an absolute must-visit. They brilliantly blend classic ice cream with traditional indian dessert flavors.I tried four of their Indian-style flavors & loved them all:
Elaichi: Rich, warm cardamom flavor.
Mango Chili: Sweet fruit with a subtle spicy kick.
Falooda: Beautifully floral & refreshing.
Rasmalai: Rich, creamy, & completely authentic.
The ice cream is perfectly balanced & not overly sweet. Super friendly staff & great prices. Highly recommended!
Pulled up to Crèmerie Meetha today & for a second it felt like we weren't even in Montreal anymore. Total grab?&?go vibe, not the nicest neighbourhood, but the flavours… different level.
Kids went straight for the kulfi & devoured it.
I hesitated on the HALDI DOODH (turmeric milk with ginger, cinnamon, cardamom) but my wife pushed me to try it - & thank God she did. Hands down the best flavour of the day.
The tea biscuit flavour was another hit - creamy, comforting, & very'Indian chai time' energy.
Unexpected stop. Memorable flavours.
This gem is hidden downstairs in a quieter area of Parc-Extension neighborhood. If you're looking for very exotic Indian flavors, absolutely try Crèmerie Meetha. Open from the late afternoon, they have a nice selection of flavors ranging from falooda (rose syrup) to mango rasmalai & gulab jamun. The cashier was very patient with us & speak both French & English very well. We will come back there one day for sure! :)
The ice cream was not as high quality as I expect! The taste was not similar to what they mentioned in the name.. overall, do not recommend here unless you want to try some thing different- the ice cream was too sweet- i saw many Indians purchased ice cream from this store( Indians might like this ice cream)
I really enjoyed my visit to the ice cream shop. The different Indian flavors were authentic & reminded me of India. It's a must-visit, even though it's located in an area where parking is nearly impossible. Despite this inconvenience, the experience is worth the trip to Parc Extension.
Great place to enjoy some amazing Indian flavors in ice cream. We went for Haldi Doodh & Mango Rasmalai. Haldi Doodh is a non-typical flavor we don't normally see in ice cream but this one was great. Definitely recommended. Mango Rasmalai was amazing too. Staff is nice & friendly. There's no seating space here, only takeouts. Or, if you like, you can stand/sit on the stairs & enjoy the ice cream. The place is slightly below ground level with a couple of stairs going down from the main street. Parking can be a bit challenging as there's street parking around which is generally full. Definitely recommended to try!
Best Indian-flavoured ice cream in Montreal! Tried the Biskoot & Gulabi Pista.
Phenomenal Indian flavored ice cream. We took the sampler with 6 flavors to make sure we tried everything + the soft serve... & all 7 were excellent!
One of the best ice cream shops in the city - it's a bit out of the way, but worth the trip. Highly original selection of Indian-inspired flavors, unique soft serve options weekly as well as a tasting menu of 6 hard ice cream flavors. Tip - take it to the nearby Jean-Valets Park instead of eating on the concrete steps.
Best ice cream north of the island. Indian dessert themed ice cream.
