Went for a eurodance 90s-00s night, but from time to time there was music not from this time & totally different from eurodance, I guess it was fine since it was only couple times. My first bad impression was at the entrance where I was told I had to coat check my hat.... MY HAT! (I mean is coat check, not hat check) there was $5 unexpected dollars, which wasn't much for the money, but the experience of this moment went so down.
Music selection of the actual 90s-00s was very good! The DJ have to work a loooot on his DJ skills, meaning the mixing wasn't smooth.
Now the good side: The atmosphere was very good! sound was excellent & well equalized, 2 bars at the side very good to have whenever we walk around, bartenders were fast & always with a smile in their faces, dancefloor lights & the upper light things gave a groovey sense, very cool! I'll give this place another visit sometime soon :)Voir plus
**From a Nightlife Connoisseur, Here is My Review:**
- **Michelin Star:** Club Electric Avenue has recently earned an additional Michelin star ⭐🌟.
- **Music:** The music selection features hits from the 80s & 90s 🎶, infused with a futuristic disco style 🎉✨.
- **Vibe:** Club Electric Avenue surprises its clientele, enhancing the overall atmosphere. If I had to rate each nightclub in Montreal on a scale of 100, Club Electric Avenue would score impressively high! 🥳🎊 It's the little things that truly elevate the experience.
A lot of disco balls 🪩 all around!
- The Club Electric Avenue music 🎵 is now live on the air FM radio 📻 prestige!
- New theme events like masquerade ball (Bal masqué) 🎭, giving free high-class masquerade masks to everyone! 🎉🎊
- NEW: Four stages 🕺💃 are positioned at each corner of the club dancefloor, dancing on the stage increasing fun twice! 🥳🥳
- The DJ is now closer to the dancefloor & the crowd! 🎧🎶
- **Attraction:** This club attracts both American tourists & locals from Quebec, all Canada & worldwide 🌍
- **Security Excellent:**
- Compared to other venues in Montreal, it is one of the safest options. 🔒✨
- It's possible to be drunk & having fun 🥳! If you're drunk & engage in conversations with others who want to talk to you, 😇 it's okay! Empathetic listening & respecting others is encouraged; it's a great place to have fun! 🎉
- However, drunk individuals who disturb others without permission 👿 are just kicked out, hahahaha! 😂
- Safe Space: Even when the dance floor is crowded, it's easy to navigate to the bar 🍹, coat check, smoke a joint outside 🚬, or use the restroom 🚻.
- No young dumb street gangs are present, lol 🙌
- There are no ghetto men harassing women! 🚫👎
- **Age Policy:** Is everyone 18+ or older? Yes! ✔?
- Do people respect consent? Yes! 👍
- **Clientele Diversity:** The clientele includes a mature crowd (ages 30, 40, 50, 60) alongside some younger patrons in the 18 to 25 age range! 🎉👥
- **Tourism:** There is a significant presence of tourists, & no gangs are loitering outside! 🌎🚫
- **Prices:**
- Cover charge: $15 💵, which is reasonable & helps ensure a certain level of safety, deterring troublemakers. 🚫
- I would recommend implementing a discount for women if one isn't already in place! 😉💕
- **Waiting Time:** There is typically no long line; entry is quick! ??✨
- **Dress Code:** Chic attire is expected! 👗👔 No tank tops for men.
- The club is open-minded regarding fashion while maintaining a balanced approach. A middle ground is suggested! 🎉✨
- **General Suggestions for Nightclubs in Montreal:**
- Consider offering homemade cold alcoolized coffee ☕ as a healthier alternative to energy drinks like Red Bull, which could be a low production cost option in the future! 💡
- **General Suggestions for All OTHER Nightclubs:**
-----------------------------------------------
- Don't let men in after 2 AM (or when it's too late) ?.
- Increasing the cover price for men when it's really late at night to ensure a more civilized environment! 🔝🍾
- ** Earlier party strategy:
Offer free dance classes very early or collaborate with different dance schools to ensure that a good number of people are there.
When the first partygoers arrive early, they will stay because there are people in the club.'
- ** Operations extended party time lapse **
Start party earlier ?
It's can be hard to really make it ... 🤔
but it long-term is could be possible
make promotion to start party earlier ☀? as Cafe Campus La Boom, Rocket Bar or Chalet Robin des Bois
Some kind of
in Montreal , is possible to start a great party a 18 pm 🎉, which party really start at 20 pm 🥳.Voir plus
It's a decent spot with an old school disco feel to it, the bouncer's & crowd is alway's chill, it's one of the rare place's in MTL where you can party & don't encounter any problem. The only thing is that the DJ is not the best, the music he play's makes me wonder if he's really an 80's music aficionado. Since this is the only place in town catering to lover's of 80's groove, I would recommend they having a dress code & either replacing the DJ or mandating him to do some good 70's 80's & 90's music research, heck last time he was playing that tonight was gonna be a good night by The Black Eyed Peas that was such a let down because this place has so much potential, adding some Italo Disco to the playlist would make wonders... Music they should be playing: -Boney M : Daddy Cool / Ma Baker -Abba : Gimme Gimme -TKA : One Way Love -Madonna : Holiday & more -Baltimora : Tarzan -Haddaway : What is love -Billy Ocean : Carribean Queen / going get's tough -Yazoo : Situation / Don't Go -Stevie Wonder : Part Time Lover -Magazine 60 : Rende Vous Costa Del Sol -Dead or Alive : Spin Right Round -Planet Patrol : Play at your own risk -Donna Summer : Hot Stuff -Modern Talking : My hearth My soul / Brother Loui -A-ha : Take on me -Nu Shooz : I can't wait -Pet Boy Shops : Domino Dancing -TOTO : Africa & more -DR Alban : My life -Daryl Hall : Out of touch & more -Monte Krysto : The Girl of Lucifer -Cutting Crew : Died in your arms -Men at Work : Down under -Eurythmics : Sweet Dreams -Rick Astley : Give you up -Bananarama : Cruel Summer -Soft Cell : Tainted Love -House of Pain : Jump Around -Europe : Final Countdown -Cyndi Lauper : Wanna have fun -Glenn Frey : You belong to the city -Def Leppard : Everything -The Flirts : You took my love -Cliff Turner : Moonlight Affair -C.C. Catch : You are young -Eddy Huntington : Ussr -Rockwell : Somebody's watching me -Michael Bedford : Tonight -Ottawan : D.I.S.C.O -Silent Circle : Touch the night -Bon Jovi : Everything Mix -Michael Jackson : Everything Mix -George Michael : Everything Mix You can do better DJ.Voir plus
Fantastic evening ! Music was fabulous, dance floor super fun & service with VIP excellent
This club has it's pros & cons. Cover & coatcheck fees are reasonable, but the bar prices are up there. For the high prices, the service level is not there. The bartender I was ordering from was giving me bad energy the whole time. Twice after ordering my drink, she would go to a customer who was flirting with her & chat with him a few minutes before I could pay for my drink, making me unnecessarily wait to rejoin my friends. This place markets itself as an 80's-90's themed club but at least 1/3 of the music I heard was post 90's. It wasn't a huge deal to me personally, but if you are coming specifically for the music they claim to play, you might be disappointed. Best feature of this place is the lighting & the overall design. The Lite-Brite dancefloor is really fun. It's a great space to dance. Tables are at the side & not in the way like some other clubs. All they really need is better bartenders with professional service & this would be a 5-star club.Voir plus
Had a small group outting. $15 cover & coats. No prob. Drinks were decently priced. Crowd was older with younger folks mixed in. Music simply got better as the night continued. 80s 90s 2000s, some rock. Some Latin, some disco, some Abba, some euro....stayed till 3. High 5 for the bouncersVoir plus
Amazing atmosphere & music was perfect only complaint staff very serious , drinks a little overpriced but bar itself was amazing !Voir plus
I am a regular at EA & normally my experience is 5 *. Great music, great ambience, great staff, & lovely crowd who genuinely come to enjoy dancing!
But.. the Vip experience sucks. They are hustlers who are constantly trying to sell you the most expensive bottle on the menu. Even though I paid the $50 deposit & ordered a bottle of wine, they did not give me my deposit on the bottle of wine saying it was too cheap. I didn't feel like spoiling my night out arguing, so I paid an extra $50 for the bottle. So there you go, a sour touch to an otherwise stellar experience. If it were not for this, my experience would be 5 Stars every time.
Another commendable thing which I am very grateful for , is that the staff found & returned my cellphone which was misplaced in the washroom. A big thank you to Santos, who called & said that the phone was found & he was waiting for me to come collect it!
I love EA, it's my favorite night out compared to any other around the world. Just figure out your Vip section & don't let it spoil the overall experience.
We were there for my huband & niece's birthdays. It was my niece's first time at a club since she turned 18. Everyone had a great time & the service & music were awesome as usual. I love going to Electric Avenue. When we want a night out dancing this is the inly place we go. 😊
Been there many times before. This time we got a VIP table for my niece’s 18th & my husband’s birthday. The service & music were great! Can’t wait for our next night out 😊Voir plus
I visited on April 21,23, to celebrate my 50th. The atmosphere was great, clean, & importantly not over packed. My only beef was the DJ. The quality of music did not always reflect the 80's & 90's. we felt as though there was too much focus on one genre of music. The mixes were terrible, cutting off one type of song 20 secs in to favor another run of the mill song...no bueno. All in all we had as great time though!!!
I just love electric avenue. The music, the lights, the people. & I'm 21.
We celebrated a friend's 50th bday there & had so much fun. Great variety of music for the 80's & 90's & friendly staff. Definitely will go back.
Great atmosphere, great music, great service! Definitely recommend!
fantastic dance place! great drinks, staff, & clientele, but most importantly....music! Its shocking how many places do not deliver on this fundamental point of a dance club. I come here every time I visit montreal! Its for people who love to dance! Unpretentious, safe & very welcoming! we are "older" but had a ton of fun as always in this unique place! the music is 80's & 90's & even a few tunes from earlier. (thanks dj) Its always tops on our list when visiting this great city!. I haven't been here since before the pandemic. the crowd is a little younger, ( or perhaps I'm just a little older. lol) still always a great time! Highly recommend!! we will be back! great positive energy here!
