What a place! We felt really welcomed a Mexican, he gave us really good recomendaciones about the drinks. 🍹 The concept of the bar is interesting… there is no menu, therefore you just say what you are in the mood of… it's fine cause they know the exact questions to make in order to give the best choice. Definitively a must on the bar hop night. My husband was really in the mood for a Negroni & even though it was a cocktail per se… they made him a version of a similar drink. He was really happy about the choice of the waiter.
There's a reason this is on every list of'coolest bars in Montreal'. It is VERY cool. It's definitively a'hidden gem'. You walk in the door up the outside stairs & it feels like you're in the wrong place. But then a door opens & the maitre d asks how many & brings you in (IF there's a spot. It's small, & exclusive, so you could be waiting in the doorway a bit...there's some room though). The way they make drinks is very cool, I won't tell you how as you should experience it yourself, but don't go in expecting to say'I'll have an old-fashioned'. It IS very pricey, but that's because of the exclusivity & skills you get in return...as well as the sprits...there's nothing SAQ shelf there really. VERY premium. Maximillion made us our drinks & he was awesome (I'll bring you our secret Mac n Cheese when we come back my friend!). If you're looking for a real'wow' kind of night, maybe with that date you really want to impress, or just to show your Mrs that you still have some spark, this is a GREAT option.

Nice & cozy atmosphere. The mixologists know what they are doing. They will ask you a few questions & create a customized drink based on what you answer. Great place for a date. A bit pricey but worth it.
Such a unique experience! Expect to wait, however it's definitely worth it. As a group of 5, we got our own private room, which was a great bonus. The drinks are delicious & tailored to your tastes.
An incredible experience, & I don't even drink alcohol!
Our server, Ashley, was extremely friendly & informative. They told us exactly what was in each cocktail/mocktail, & gave very insightful recommendations. I didn't like my first few sips, & they immediately swapped my mocktail out for something incredible.
I never normally get to have cool drinks, so this was a great time!
Good not great. The staff is super nice & the drinks are good but it's pricy & the concept (no menus, we customize a drink to your tastes) is gimmicky. They make their mixers in-house so there are very limited options on what types of cocktails they can make on any given evening. The ambiance is meh. Not really worth it in my opinion.

The welcome drink was refreshing.
Instead of their questions our table gave single words to the bartender. The bartender aced the challenge & made us a drink based on interpretative words.
Drinks were well made & the concept is very interesting too. Had a good time while we were here. Probably not a place to be there with 4+ people due to the size if the spot. A great date spot.

Very cool atmosphere & awesome service catering to your palette. We arrived at 1630pm & there was about 7 people waiting ahead of us. The bar opened at 1600 & we waited 30 min before getting in. The venue is not large & can only hold 25 people so that explains the wait. The mixologist started us off with a pleasant & flavorful fruit flavored eye shot. It was very tasty. Afterwards he asked each of us what kind of flavors we like & if we have any specific preferences to certain liquors. It is best to come in knowing exactly the type of flavor profile & type of spirits you enjoy do the mixologist can create a specific concoction that will suit your taste. I unfortunately am not a seasoned expert on liquors & flavors so I think it was my fault that my drink did not blow me away. I tasted my friend's cocktail & it was outstanding but she was very specific in what she liked. The drinks were beautifully presented & I would definitely return another time.
I had an unfortunate experience here. I specifically ordered a gin cocktail & was served a different liquor instead. When I pointed it out, the staff didn't acknowledge the mistake or say anything they just took the drink & replaced it in a very rude way.
In addition there was no thanks or acknowledgment when I tipped. Attention to detail & basic courtesy go a long way, & this experience lacked both.
We were able to squeeze in on short notice for 2 & overall it was nice but nothing worth waiting super long for. We were sat in the tiny little side room with 1 other pair of people which feels naturally a little awkward given the already small main room but the well curated playlist helped settle the vibe. The whole no menu questionnaire style drink selection concept is cool & all the cocktails taste nice, but ultimately feels like tasting different flavored premade juices that takes some of the fun out of cocktail ordering.

I had a wonderful time here while on a solo trip. The Australian bartender was very friendly & welcoming & made me amazing drinks. Everything I had was delicious & unique. The Christmas themed drink I requested turned out phenomenal! The space was also very cute & cozy. I will absolutely be coming back next time I'm in town!
If you gonna charge me $35 for a drink maybe don't used a rectangle ice cube that makes it seem the drink is full… great place just give a real sized drink chill on the ice.

I'm in Montreal for a quick visit. Cloakroom bar was my favorite stop of the day. Maximilian it is the best Bartender I have ever witnessed in my life. Very personable, & extremely talented when it comes to making drinks. Be sure to get a drink, made by him when you visit!
Meh. We have been to many speakeasies, & unfortunately this one didn't live up to expectations for us. It is a cool location, we were initially seated in a small room just off the main room, it was nice. We had a good time, we had each two drinks each in pretty rapid succession. There was a party of three other people sat in the room with us, they had multiple drinks as well. We were all ordering & drinking in a very timely manner shall we say. For me the drinks were just average, the gambit here is that you tell them what elements you want (gin, whiskey, liquor forward, fruity, bubbles fruity, etc.) & they create a craft cocktail for you. Personally I didn't love either of my drinks, it kind of felt like some of my elements were lost, & it was not what I asked for, it seemed like they had their drinks & they were trying to put what you asked for within their recipes. But really this review would've been higher but for the fact that one of the employees came in & asked all five of us, two separate parties, if we could move to other tables in the main room to make room for a larger party. We had just begun talking to the other party & were enjoying ourselves when we were asked to move.
If you're going to ask people to move then offer a free drink on the house or something. We were taken into the next room & stuffed between two other parties, it really did not feel good to have to move midway through. We won't be back & cannot recommend this place.
