Is it worth it? ABSOLUTELY YES!
Many people we ran into & spoke to in Montreal told us we HAD to go to the Cloakroom during our stay, & we are glad we listened! My husband & I each had two drinks that were all very different & all wonderful & memorable. Our bartender was very kind & listened to exactly what we wanted. He also gave us a rather long handwritten list of restarants we should try while in town after asking him for recommendations, which was great (we went to Monarch, which he recommended & it was superb!)The bill was steep (we did ask for some pricey choices of liquors), but we had a great time & left satisfied that we had managed to grab the last two bar seats in this tiny & very popular establishment. Check this place out when you are in Montreal!

The bespoke cocktail experience was great. My friends & I were skeptical but ultimately happy with our experience. The bar is definitely a tight fit but it has more than enough swagger to make up for it. Great date night spot

We visited the cloakroom on a Sunday evening around 7 pm. We waited about 20 minutes before entering & being seated at the bar. Little did we know it would end up being the best seats in the house as we got to chat with one of the mixologists who was clearly well educated & passionate about his craft. We came here to admire their collection & taste some vintages, as it goes we told him our budget & he brought us his recommendations. After chatting a bit more, he recommended a delightful amaro (pictured here) from 1959. Totally out of my comfort zone & piqued my curiosity into aperitifs. It was a great choice. As whiskey & bourbon lovers we will be back, save the pappy for us ;)

J'adore ce bar caché pour la subtilité des cocktails faits en fonction de tes goûts. On se laisse porter car il n'y a pas de menus & je n'ai absolument jamais été déçue.

L'atmosphère est assez intimiste bien que les tables soient très proches. C'est idéal pour un date mais je ne recommande pas d'y aller à plus que 2 personnes pour des raisons de conforts.

My wife & I came by for the custom craft of the bar, & our waiter Marcello was incredibly welcoming & knowledgeable to guide us in our cocktail selections. Highly recommend spot if you're a visitor or local

Fantastic speakeasy vibes, recommended for ANYONE that is visiting Montréal & wants to dive into a coctail bar.

Open after 4, a very intimately small date night or evening with friends will be heavily complimented by the service & choose your own adventure style coctails.

No menu = bartenders that can absolutely nail what you are looking for with a couple of questions.

We arrived shortly after opening, & were able to get seated right away. The concept is wonderful, as there is no menu available. So come in knowing what kind of flavor profiles & spirits you like. I started off with a creative play on a smoky whiskey sour, but all their homemade bitters, tonics, & creativity they came out with some so tasty & unique. My last drink was made with Suze & an in-house mixer called fuze, wonderful combo, especially since my nickname is Suze :) My partner also enjoyed all his drinks. Intimate environment where all seats face the bar. The servers help you just enough getting through your drink order, but you do need to come with some idea of what you like.

The drinks were absolutely subpar. For a place that customises your drinks based on your preferences, they truly missed every single time. I am not sure how this place is ranked number one when I have been to bars which are far better & rank way lower. Overall, do not recommend.

We had such an amazing time, Ulysse was an amazing bartender & made our experience so much fun! The concept is also unique paired with the ambiance a must try!
