Hands down the best sandwich I've ever had!
The ingredients were so tasty & excellent quality. Bread was nice & crunchy from the outside but soft & fresh from the inside.
If you're in Montreal & love a truly great sandwich, Ciccios Sandwiches is an absolute gem.
Everything is made with care - from the perfectly fresh bread to the high-quality meats, cheeses, & toppings that are layered generously without overwhelming the flavors. Every bite tastes balanced, fresh, & thoughtfully crafted. You can tell they don't cut corners.
The vibe is welcoming & unpretentious, the kind of neighborhood spot you instantly want to become a regular at. Whether you're grabbing a quick lunch or bringing friends to show off one of Montreal's best sandwich spots, Ciccios never disappoints. It's simple food done exceptionally well - & that's what makes it unforgettable.
Best sandwich ever! You can really taste the quality of the ingredients. Also the service was amazing.
I ate here in November on a rainy day. I won't dwell on the quality of the food, which wasn't bad (although, being Italian, I have eaten better panini in my life), but on the treatment I received. My plan was to eat there & stay to study for a bit, waiting for the rain to stop. I was not allow to do. Immediately after finishing my panini, about 15 minutes after arriving, I was asked from the one who seemed to be the owner of the place, to leave, even though the place wasn't so busy & outside was still raining.
I felt uncomfortable, I recommend the place only if you want to be treated rudely!!
Amazingggg sandwiches! The best I have tried in the city. I got the muffuletta without eggplant & my friend got the classique. The muffuletta was our favourite as the bun was crunchy on the outside & soft on the inside topped with sesame seeds. You can definitely tell the ingredients are great quality. The meats inside gave such a great flavour & there was a bit of spiciness from the peppers & tad bit of sauce. The classique was the egg sandwich which we enjoyed too. It was topped with a soft bun & the egg was thick & soft. The workers were nice but could have been a little bit more welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience & would definitely return to try the rest of the menu or get the muffuletta again.
To the Ciccio's owners:
Absolutely amazing addition to Montreal. As a major experienced foodie, your bread is fresh, your sandwiches are tasty, your meat is freshly cut, & your drink options are awesome, you also make some very good coffee & hot chocolate! Nic at the downtown location is awesome. Sandwiches are always on par no matter the location. Glad you opened this & I hope you can keep the quality with time (seems to be a very hard & rare thing restaurants in Montreal can do).
My constructive criticism: some of your staff lack experience in the way they communicate or handle customers, which might impact your reputation. Maybe have someone that can lead & train them how to operate in this type of restaurant properly.
Me & my grandma were visiting Montreal for the day when we came to Ciccos for lunch, & it was very good. I got a sandwich with prosciutto, mozzarella, & tomatos, & my grandma can't remember what she got & both were 10/10! These sanwiches are a bit more expensive but you can tell the bread & ingredients are fresh & high quality! I saw them cut the prosciutto with a slicer. Not speaking French was not a problem & it's a cute & aesthetically pleasing inside. The seating area outside is also nice. Overall it was a nice experience & I'd come back for sure!
I'm disappointed with the two last tonno panini's I've ordered in the past 6 months. The bread of the first one this year (February 2025) was charmed almost too burned to be eaten & it was missing flavour. The bread of the second one ordered today (June 2025), was too toasted - the kind that bruises the roof of your mouth. & again, it was lacking spices & taste. At almost $20 for a panini, no drinks or dessert added, I feel like the quality & taste of the paninis ordered lately have lowered… & that's a shame because they used to hit the spot.
I got their Muffuletta, cappuccino, & pistachio tiramisu & it was the best meal I had in Montreal. I'm a big fan of Italian sandwiches & their New Orleans version of this was truly phenomenal - crispy bread, just the right amount of preserved veggies, quality meats, & a thick slab of mozzarella (which is a slight ding in the aesthetics b/c I couldn't fit the sandwich in my mouth). I will spread the gospel of Ciccio's upon my return & pray they open in NYC.
