Reviews portray Ciccio's as a standout Italian sandwich spot in Montreal, with bread and ingredients highlighted for quality and flavor, especially the muffuletta, porchetta, caprese, and prosciutto sandwiches. The bread is consistently praised for crisp crust and soft interior, the meats and cheeses feel fresh, and the signature ciccio sauce adds a creamy tang. The vibe is retro yet cozy, with limited seating and a preference for takeout, while the service is often warm and attentive but occasionally could be more welcoming or consistent. Some criticism exists over price versus portion size and occasional menu stability with items like muffuletta sometimes selling out; nonetheless the overall experience is described as enjoyable and memorable, making it a must visit for Italian sandwiches in Old Montreal with many reviewers planning return trips to try more items and desserts like pistachio tiramisu and espresso drinks.
Amazingggg sandwiches! The best I have tried in the city. I got the muffuletta without eggplant & my friend got the classique. The muffuletta was our favourite as the bun was crunchy on the outside & soft on the inside topped with sesame seeds. You can definitely tell the ingredients are great quality. The meats inside gave such a great flavour & there was a bit of spiciness from the peppers & tad bit of sauce. The classique was the egg sandwich which we enjoyed too. It was topped with a soft bun & the egg was thick & soft. The workers were nice but could have been a little bit more welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience & would definitely return to try the rest of the menu or get the muffuletta again.
so good!! my favourite was the muffuletta. so flavourful & a lil spicy & im just a sucker for a good mortadella sandwich. the spot is super cute too tho not many seats (mainly bar seats & one booth)
Came here by pure accident on a trip from Toronto while we waited for our check-in time. Any time friends have visited since, we insist they come here! We've tried to recreate the muffuletta sandwich ourselves & it's simply not possible. Have yet to find a Toronto sandwich worthy of a comparison. The sandwiches, atmosphere, good people, decor, standards... the tiramisu? Forget about it. Enough is enough. Just booked another trip back. See you in December!
We saw this being mentioned by a YouTuber & this place did not disappoint! The sandwiches are amazing! Sorry forgot to take pics of them. The place is also so cute with a retro setting. Staff are friendly & they made the perfect suggestions. Unfortunately, the porchetta was sold out but we got the muffuletta, tonno, & capo. All of them were delicious & so flavourful. The bread is chewy & crispy. & the sizes of each sandwich was generous. Definitely will not be disappointed visiting here!

Excellent sandwich, belle ambiance chaleureuse !! À mon avis le sandwich Muffuletta est sans aucun doute le meilleur. Je recommande le resto du vieux Montréal ainsi que celui du centre-ville sans hésitation☺?
Sandwich was to die for. Bread was fresh & crisp. Muffuletta with mortadella & salami just pure flavour town. I do feel that customer facing staff should be more warm & inviting. Highly recommend!
First time visiting this place from Toronto. Recommended by a friend. Worth every minute & $ spent. Loved the retro design of the place & the menu options. We ordered the muffuletta which was incredible! Highly recommend this spot!
Magnifique petit resto & surtout excellente sandwich italienne avec ingrédients de qualités. Le staff est super gentil & accueillant.
nouvelle adresse sur McGill & tout aussi bon (muffuletta) & la créma di café est une merveille en bouche!
I got their Muffuletta, cappuccino, & pistachio tiramisu & it was the best meal I had in Montreal. I'm a big fan of Italian sandwiches & their New Orleans version of this was truly phenomenal - crispy bread, just the right amount of preserved veggies, quality meats, & a thick slab of mozzarella (which is a slight ding in the aesthetics b/c I couldn't fit the sandwich in my mouth). I will spread the gospel of Ciccio's upon my return & pray they open in NYC.
