Wonder how Montrealers like such sugary Thai food. It is very insulting to the wonderful cuisine of Thailand ruined by another wannabe restaurant. Overhyped.
Je voulais vraiment aimer car ça fait longtemps que je voulais essayer ce restaurant mais franchement les assaisonements sont soit trop salés soit très sucrés. Je n'ai jamais mangé un gâteau au chocolat avec un glacage aussi salé?! Je cuisine souvent végétalien & c'est pas sorcier de faire de bons plats. L'entrée & le fait que le restaurant est vegane sont les seuls points positifs. Je ne recommande pas malheureusememt.

chu chai is unbelievably delicious & unique. everything was perfect, just as it was when i fell in love with it 25 years ago!! the seaweed appetizer &'beef' in 3 flavor sauce are so tasty & just as they were years ago. perfect recipes. also delish the cold spring rolls & sticky rice & mango salad & chocolate cake & carrot cake. it is a MUST VISIT, vegetarian or not. already can't wait to go back.
The tom yum soup was good the flavours were there , just a tad too salty for my liking . My friend had the squash soup which was good.
Tried the papaya & vermicelli salads . They weren't for me personally but my friend really enjoyed the vermicelli salad.
Now for the main dishes .
I had the beef curry which had deep & rich flavour but missing something however the star is the crispy duck my friend had it was delicious I wish I had gotten that. It was a 10/10 . Overall I'd say it was good but definitely netter out there but the service was top notch.
The'duck' texture & flavours were bang-on, & the papaya & green curry were also amazing. But really, I came to write about one of
the yummiest cocktails I've had to date (MK2). & the service? Awesome.
First Time of the year 2026 im going back to that vegan restaurant. That is tofu with meat & fish flavor the place is smaller but the food is always good & the service Perfect. I took some shrimp tofu & eggplant stirs fried basil sauce call koung pad mekere & my boyfriend ate the royal pad thai with shrimp tofu & chicken tofu . Cest la première fois de l année 2026 que je retournais a ce resto thai vegan tous les plats on des tofu a saveur de viande ou poisson l'endroit es plus petit que dans le passé mais le service est toujours impeccable & la nourriture super comme toujours.jai prise koung pad mekere qui es des crevette tofu sauté avec des aubergine a la sauce basilic & mon copain as pris le royal pad thai qui es des crevette tofu & poulet tofu .
