Chifa is a chifa restaurant montreal and a chinese peruvian restaurant montreal, representing Chef Larrea’s way of sharing childhood memories through his own interpretation of Chinese Peruvian cuisine. Originating from Peru, this Chifa cuisine is the accord of Chinese elements, expressing the identity of a true fusion restaurant montreal.
Chifa offers a lively Peruvian Chinese fusion that many guests find flavorful, creative, and engaging, with an open kitchen that lets diners watch the chefs at work. The menu is built for sharing, delivering a mix of ceviche, anticuchos, lomo saltado, dumplings, and chow mein, paired with crafted cocktails and attentive service that keeps the atmosphere welcoming. The vibes are described as cozy and buzz worthy, a stylish spot suited for date nights, gatherings, or pre show bites, with friendly staff adding to a warm experience. Some reviews mention that portions can be modest for the price and a few dishes could be spicier or more balanced, yet the overall impression centers on high quality ingredients, thoughtful execution, and a memorable, enjoyable dining journey.
Quelle belle découverte. Service convivial & sympathique. On a été très bien guidés dans nos choix. La nourriture est excellente du début à la fin. Les plats sont généreux. Très bon rapport qualité/prix. On y retournera. Important de réserver car c'était plein.
There are two restaurants in Montreal that are distinctively different than the rest: Chifa & its neighbour, Tiradito, both created by partners chef Marcel Larrea & David Dumay. I highly recommend both. A fun riff on Peruvian-Japanese & Peruvian-Chinese cuisines. Delicious flavours, unusual ingredients, dangerous drinks, staff that will be friends by the time you leave, & an underground bar to end (or begin) the night. Go.
Expérience client exceptionnelle, service personnalisé, équipe chaleureuse, service impeccable & que dire de la nourriture, tout simplement exquise! Au delà de nos attentes. Sur notre liste d'incontournables à Montréal.
We just loved being there. The welcome was very warm & nice! We liked the the cocktails, the food (every single of the 6 different ones) & the Dessert! Thank you for this wonderful evening!

Accueil chaleureux. Ambiance conviviale. Personnel sympathique. Musique plutôt forte. Notre choix : picsou + plats partagés : calmars frits, ceviche chino-latino, ceviche saumon, dumplings.
