Chifa is a chifa restaurant montreal and a chinese peruvian restaurant montreal, representing Chef Larrea’s way of sharing childhood memories through his own interpretation of Chinese Peruvian cuisine. Originating from Peru, this Chifa cuisine is the accord of Chinese elements, expressing the identity of a true fusion restaurant montreal.
Chifa offers a lively Peruvian Chinese fusion that many guests find flavorful, creative, and engaging, with an open kitchen that lets diners watch the chefs at work. The menu is built for sharing, delivering a mix of ceviche, anticuchos, lomo saltado, dumplings, and chow mein, paired with crafted cocktails and attentive service that keeps the atmosphere welcoming. The vibes are described as cozy and buzz worthy, a stylish spot suited for date nights, gatherings, or pre show bites, with friendly staff adding to a warm experience. Some reviews mention that portions can be modest for the price and a few dishes could be spicier or more balanced, yet the overall impression centers on high quality ingredients, thoughtful execution, and a memorable, enjoyable dining journey.
I was hoping to find some unique flavors on a visit to Montreal for work, this was it 😍. Amazing food, great dishes for sharing 😋 small tables perfect for four & great drinks menu (we were drinking mocktails & happy to have some delicious choices) 😁💛

We stumbled at chifa looking for late night desserts.
The desserts were delicious & drinks were balanced & creative.
Our server was very attentive & friendly.
Drinks & food were good but perhaps we were unlucky when it came to service.... was long before we got someone to even bring us some water.... however once someone finally took our order it went better.
I went to Chifa for my boyfriends birthday with some friends & the food was good, but the portions were on the smaller side for how much you pay . I decided to get the drink Maracuchita , which on the menu only says it has passion fruit , lime & simple syrup in it , but when i took a sip , it had mostly pineapple juice inside. I have an allergy to pineapple & I purposely look out for it on the menu , so to have no warning or what is inside is extremely dangerous. Luckily , my reaction wasnt too severe this time around , but it still a mess up. The waiter was nice & had my drink remade the right way, but overall not a good way to start off the night...
Fantastic food. Absolutely tremendous quality & taste. A little slow on the drinks as they only have one person making mixed drinks for the whole place. Plus one of the plates I ordered didn't come & when I brought it up they acknowledged they forgot it. Which was fine because I was in no rush. But overall it was great food & well worth dining here. I would absolutely return & recommend to friends.
The food was great but I'm still starving. $97 later & I had two appetizers & two drinks. Waiter was very nice but he described it as "portions meant to be shared" when its barely half a plate. To be fair, I should've done my research on what kind of restaurant it was going to be but the peruvian/Asian mix sounded too interesting. Sucks cause I really liked it but when the portions are so small for so expensive, it better to go for drinks with something on the side rather than going for a restaurant.
The dishes were stupendous & the drinks were very original. What an amazing anniversary dinner. The service was excellent. Cannot recommend this restaurant enough.
The hostess was really accommodating when we asked to sit at a table. The food was great, drinks excellent & we had a very pleasant waiter. Will be back.
This was my last stop on a week long trip to Montréal & I must say I regret not coming here sooner. The food & drinks were incredible & the staff were so friendly. What originally started out as dinner for 2 turned into 11 & they were more than happy to accommodate us when it came to seating as well as when it came time to split the bill. The ceviche was amazing, the duck was phenomenal & I could go on about everything but I will be eating here again whenever I come back.

Super delicious food & drinks, that are beautifully presented. I wish they offered table seating for parties of 2, & that they would have let me know in advance that my reservation was for stool seating at the bar or window. I would only go back with a party of 4 so that table seating was possible.
Exceptional food! Hip atmosphere. Had 3 different wait staff, which is an odd model, as asked the same questions repeatedly, & was brought duplicates of drinks.
