Second time coming here as the food is very good, but second time sitting at the bar is not good. This time sat at the bar in front of the sink at the bar .... Even though I made the reservation 45 days earlier I was told all the booths were taken, even though we watched booths available during our meal. Unfortunately I won't be back a third time
Hier soir, j'ai eu ma première expérience au Chifa. Honnêtement, le souper était parfait ! Un bon 10/10 pour la créativité des plats. C'était délicieux, un beau menu, bravo aux chefs! Cependant, je suis malheureusement obligé de donner 3 étoiles en raison du service. Tout d'abord, il y avait une hôtesse que je pense semblait être la responsable de plancher, mais je suis pas certain. Elle avait les cheveux bruns aux épaules, avec une barrette, un ton sarcastique & nonchalant, ainsi que des commentaires qui n'avaient pas leur place dès notre arrivée & pendant le souper. On était pas capables de la supporter. Notre serveuse était correcte pas de plus, staff de plancher un peu mêlé & ça ne ramassait pas les assiettes vides sur la table. On aurait aimé commander plus mais le service était tellement médiocre qu'on a demandé les factures. À part de ça, les plats sont dispendieux mais ça en vaut la peine.
The octopus was beyond exceptional! everything was top notch. Thanks to Chef Loïc, he is precise, extremely diligent with his food prep, very tidy & proud of his art work. Bartender, Patrick, & Manager Knellie were extremely kind, fun & took great care of us. We will be back! Thanks for a wonderful experience & exceptional food!
Je ne sais pas si c'est parce que j'étais seule ou assise au bar ou parce que je n'étais pas une habituée, mais je me suis sentie oubliée. J'aurais pris un dessert mais une heure après avoir fini de manger personne n'était venu me voir pour savoir si je voulais autre chose alors quand j'ai fini par avoir l'attention de quelqu'un j'ai simplement demandé à avoir la facture pour partir.
Disappointed as we were sitting at the bar & the waiting staff barely acknowledged us & did not explain the food which was expensive. It felt as though the staff wanted us out of the restaurant as quickly as possible.
Malgré une réservation j'ai été assis au bar . J'aurais aimé une banquette . Je comprends que vous voulez maximiser les places mais je trouve désolant que je n'ai ps eu de banquette (nous étions 2) avec réservation & d'autres (3) sans réservations ont eu une banquette
Everything was perfect except for the seating. I had asked for an exception since my friend has a very bad hip, but they could not accommodate for seats besides the bar which was unfortunately very uncomfortable for her.
The food was great but I'm still starving. $97 later & I had two appetizers & two drinks. Waiter was very nice but he described it as "portions meant to be shared" when its barely half a plate. To be fair, I should've done my research on what kind of restaurant it was going to be but the peruvian/Asian mix sounded too interesting. Sucks cause I really liked it but when the portions are so small for so expensive, it better to go for drinks with something on the side rather than going for a restaurant.
