About us
Chifa is Chef Larrea’s way of sharing childhood memories through his own interpretation of Chinese Peruvian cuisine. Originating from Peru, this Chifa cuisine is the accord of Chinese elements with traditional Peruvian ingredients.

Excellent resto péruvien. Nourriture excellente, très belle présentation & ingrédients frais. Assie au comptoir on voit la préparation & c est cuisiné devant nous. Extrêmement propre 5*.
Les serveurs & cuisiniers sont super. Souriant, belles explications & ce sont des passionnés. L'entrée 4 brochettes sublime. Boeuf tomates wow. Assiette fruit de mer très bon mais c est frit & sur frites. Je regrette pas de l avoir essayé, mais j ai vu plusieurs plats préparés devant nous & la prochaine je y aller plus avec canard. Le resto est petit & seulement 6 tables banquettes qui sont pour les groupe de 3 ou 4. Sinon c est face à la fenêtre ou face aux cuisiniers que je recommande. Drinks très bon. Serveurs & cuisiniers 5*. C est un concept qui on partage les plats si on le désire & wow on goûte bcp de choses.View more

I'd give 6th stars if there is. Lomo saltado was delicious but a bit small size for the price. I do agree the beef quality is much better than average. Jalea mixta was great too. Mojito was refreshing. Enjoyed a lot!View more

Went here for dinner & drinks. The service is super nice here & especially if you live in BRIX because you get a small discount. The ambiance is really nice & it feels like a date night place. Highly recommend to make a reservation beforehand as table seats go by quickly. Overall would highly recommend!View more

Visiting Montreal for the weekend we were looking for something a bit different from the many delicious bistros etc. Chifa came up.
Close to our hotel we arrived before 9 pm & sat at the bar. The staff were welcoming & informative.
The play list was Cuban, the menu a fusion of Peruvian & Asian.
The empanadas were excellent, the shrimp also very tasty.
The Chi Jau Kaï Chicken was fantastic - served with rice which we paired with the market vegetables.
The Pastel Cholco was deliciously decadent.
The choice of rum made for a difficult decision.

Belle découverte! Nourriture excellente & personnel super agréable & courtois. Tout était wow! Nous avons mangé au bar devant les plans de travail de deux « artistes » qui préparaient les plats avec une grande minutie, bravo!

This is a pretty good fusion restaurant with some standout dishes.
For appetizers, we ordered the combo anticuchos, daily cones, & ceviche. The combo anticuchos were excellent-$28 for four skewers, & each type of meat was grilled to perfection with great flavor balance. The grilled mushrooms had a slightly sweet taste, which was an interesting touch.
The daily cones, however, were underwhelming. The cones weren't particularly crispy, & we tried all three flavors, but none of them stood out. The octopus one had a strange taste.
The ceviche was absolutely amazing-super fresh, with tender fish & a bright, citrusy kick that made it incredibly refreshing. Definitely a must-order for next time!
For the main course, we had the Duckitos. It's not a traditional Peking duck, but it came with a sweet & spicy dipping sauce, ginger strips, & pickled radish, all of which complemented the dish beautifully. The only downside was that a few pieces of duck weren't properly deboned, which could be a safety issue.
For dessert, we followed our server's recommendation & got the corn cake. I'm pretty sure it was made fresh to order because we waited at least 10 minutes-but it was worth it. The cake was soft, fragrant, & steaming hot, perfectly paired with ice cream. No one could say no to that.
As for drinks, the Marauchita was the better choice-fruitier & more refreshing overall.
A solid spot with some real highlights. Would definitely come back for the ceviche & corn cake!View more

I made a reservation for a group of 13. They gave us the big table in the back which was perfect as we got our little space & was able to put our personal belongings on the side. Jeremy was our waiter, fantastic job, he was patient with us. The food was delicious!View more
