Une excellente découverte de cuisine péruvienne fusion chinoise ! Le poisson était d'une fraîcheur remarquable, parfaitement préparé. Le filet mignon était tendre, bien cuit & plein de saveurs. Le service était attentionné & l'ambiance chaleureuse a complété une expérience mémorable!!View more

A delightful fusion of flavors!
This restaurant beautifully blends Peruvian cuisine with subtle Chinese influences, creating a unique & flavorful dining experience. The dishes were well-balanced, rich in taste, & the service was warm & attentive Jeremy was a great host & gave us the right advices.
A must-try for those who enjoy creative culinary twistsView more
Visiting Montreal for the weekend we were looking for something a bit different from the many delicious bistros etc. Chifa came up.
Close to our hotel we arrived before 9 pm & sat at the bar. The staff were welcoming & informative.
The play list was Cuban, the menu a fusion of Peruvian & Asian.
The empanadas were excellent, the shrimp also very tasty.
The Chi Jau Kaï Chicken was fantastic - served with rice which we paired with the market vegetables.
The Pastel Cholco was deliciously decadent.
The choice of rum made for a difficult decision.
A gem.View more
This is a pretty good fusion restaurant with some standout dishes.
For appetizers, we ordered the combo anticuchos, daily cones, & ceviche. The combo anticuchos were excellent-$28 for four skewers, & each type of meat was grilled to perfection with great flavor balance. The grilled mushrooms had a slightly sweet taste, which was an interesting touch.
The daily cones, however, were underwhelming. The cones weren't particularly crispy, & we tried all three flavors, but none of them stood out. The octopus one had a strange taste.
The ceviche was absolutely amazing-super fresh, with tender fish & a bright, citrusy kick that made it incredibly refreshing. Definitely a must-order for next time!
For the main course, we had the Duckitos. It's not a traditional Peking duck, but it came with a sweet & spicy dipping sauce, ginger strips, & pickled radish, all of which complemented the dish beautifully. The only downside was that a few pieces of duck weren't properly deboned, which could be a safety issue.
For dessert, we followed our server's recommendation & got the corn cake. I'm pretty sure it was made fresh to order because we waited at least 10 minutes-but it was worth it. The cake was soft, fragrant, & steaming hot, perfectly paired with ice cream. No one could say no to that.
As for drinks, the Marauchita was the better choice-fruitier & more refreshing overall.
A solid spot with some real highlights. Would definitely come back for the ceviche & corn cake!View more
Food & drinks were equally so good. Both I & my south Asian palate loved the fusion concept.View more
Nice place & really good food - nice fusion of eastern & Peruvian!! I recommend it to youView more
This was our first experience trying any sort of peruvian food & we were very impressed. The cocktail menu contained a selection of predictable Pisco drinks, which we had no problem enjoying! Shoutout to any cocktail with passionfruit. For the food it is a fusion of peruvian & Chinese & we took the bartenders recommendations & tried the ceviche Pato caliente, the lomo saltado (the sauce being the highlight here for sure) & the chaufa especiale (fried rice). This was definitely enough food for the two of us. Overall great service & recommendations. We will definitely be back.View more
My date said this was her favourite restaurant - in faith in her tastes I obliged. Peruvian-Chinese fusion is not run-off-the-mill cuisine, & Chifa does a fine job at executing this niche of fusion. My experience with other fusion restaurants is that the dishes tend to lean towards one side with only a touch of the other cuisine that it is supposed to be a fusion with. Chifa's dishes are perfectly balanced between Peruvian & Chinese, creating a wholly new experience. The octopus skewers were delectable. Really enjoyed the beef dish as well. The friend chicken comes in 3rd place but was still very enjoyable. Expert chefs at this place creating some impressive dishes. The atmosphere of this place is nice too, they did a good job at using the space. The bathroom is a bit of an adventure to get to but a minor detail. Prices are reasonable for this level of dining.View more
One of the best Peruvian & Chinese fusion food in dt definitely worth trying. Although their food is generally a bit saltyView more
Food is 11/10, absolutely incredible & tasty. Portions are well sized, & everything we had was so delicious. Service was impeccable. The restaurant is a bit noisy & loud inside so it's hard to maintain a conversation but they have a nice terrace outside. Overall highly recommend Chifa for delicious Peruvian fusion cuisine!View more
The food at this place is just incredible if you like trying fusion cuisine asian/peruvian. The staff is super nice & absolutely passionate I have discovered so many great dishes & drinks from their recommendations. Must try the Pisco Sour 🍹 & the 4 skewers tasting 🍢 as well as the ceviche are my personal favorites. This is really a montreal hidden gem 💎 most restaurant staff from other high end restaurants love to go to this spot to eat & that says a lot. It can be a bit tight & you do need a reservation as it's mostly sold out for the busy nights like Thursday to Sunday.View more
This is worth the stop when in the area. The service was in point & the food was excellent. Fusion Peruvian tapas that were honestly so delicious.View more
It's more like chinese food fusion with Peruvian palate. There's strong wok hei in the fried rice! Impressive with the cook. Setting is great for table of 4, squeeze a bit for cosy cosy 6 😁. Service staff can be a bit hard to gather their attention. Drinks & food came out wrong. Maybe it's a one off. Will visit again to confirm.View more
A must try- highly recommended spot for great quality tapas of Chinese-Peruvian fusion food. Amazing service, the staff was very friendly! Thank you to the manager, for the special attention! The drinks were great, but the maracuya sour was perfect! Best quality all around! Thank you for a great experience! Definitely coming back soon! 👌🏼View more
Walked by this vibing Peruvian fusion resto & thought I should give it a taste. I started off with the : -Chicha morada cocktail: Purple corn syrup, lime juice, soda. Punchy tartness that's pretty to look at. A touch of soda so it's not overwhelmingly fizzy. A good upgrade on a fizzy lemonade -Sui Mai : doused in a soy chili sauce with green onions this salty pleasure did not disappoint. I halved the sui mai to sop up the delicious salty sauce & buried those flavorful wonders in my mouth. Full of shrimp & pork- they were flavorful even without that salty soy goodness. -Fritti calamari: oh man. I don't even know what to say. So light yet crunchy & moist. Cooked to perfection. Didn't even need the sesame tahini garlic tasting sauce- although that sauce. I would have slathered that all over a shawarma..... if I was eating a shawarma. I ended up eating both items individually as they were sooo good. Also good together but I felt that eating the calamari separately from the sauce I could really enjoy the individual flavors & savour all it had to offer. But as hubby says to me all the time "you gotta eat it when it's hot". It looses a bit of its crunchy texture as it cools down. - Wonton soup: was an order put through because I was feeling a bit under the weather. Pretty bland to be frank, even when I added the remnants of my sui mai soy sauce. The two wontons were a bit too big with the the filling minimal compared to the noodle wrapping. Would not order this one again. Overall I'd come back to try some of the peruvian dishesView more
A fusion of oriental & Peruvian flavours with top quality ingredients, the best " Chinese" food in Montreal. Fantastic service with dedicated professional staff too
Greag place for peruvian fusion food. Good service. 👍View more
Esperaba que sea fusión chia/peruana, como un chifa real, pero fue mucho mas simple/chino.
Went first with my son last week & then, with my wife. having worked in fine dining for nearly 30 years, I knew full well that Peruvian cuisine is the crown jewel of the Americas. "Peru's cuisine evolved through the fusion of indigenous Peruvian cultures, Spanish colonization, Arab/Moorish influences, the arrival of slaves from Africa, & Japanese & Chinese immigrants". With hundreds of varieties of peppers & a longstanding fish culture , it came as no surprise that everything was delicious. The capital Lima is particularly famous for chifa , a latino-cantonese style that infuses all the influences one can imagine . Both times , the octopus was simply ridiculously amazing, soft, grilled to perfection, sweet, spicy & long lasting tasty. The ceviche latino-chino had fresh halibut , tiger milk & cilantro, refreshingly divine. Wagyu tartare in a cone was subtle & celestial. Causa avocado & shrimp was a textural delight. main corses was (both times) the Lomo saltado (filet mignon in a decidedly Cantonese sauce , brimming with flavour), but the killer dish was the best duck I have ever had (having tried the French, Chinese & the Hungarian versions many times), succulent pieces in a Peking style with a tangy ceviche -like vinaigrette that was on the verge of ridiculous! Try the Pisco sour a cocktail you will remember. This will become a regular stop in our dining calendar. Even the staff remembered me from my previous visit. Absolute pleasure !
