Tellement décevant. J'aurais tant voulu être enchantée par cette table comme par le passé. Je crois que le chef a dû changer, car l'exécution des plats n'était pas à la hauteur de la réputation de ce restaurant. Le service était plutôt agréable sans plus. Les huîtres étaient très correctes. Le tartare de thon était fade & les cavatellis bien ordinaires. Bien dommage.View more

Le moment passé chez Victoire était vraiment excellent. Le service était au top & côté cuisine, un quasi sans faute (effectivement, le pain au levain est vraiment quelconque). Pour le reste, rien à redire !View more

Le menu regorge d'ambition, mais l'exécution en cuisine a été décevante. En entrée, la 1re huître était bien, mais la 2e goûtait si bizarre qu'on a douté & préféré retourner l'assiette. Le chou-fleur & le carpaccio étaient ordinaires. Plats principaux : le risotto avait la consistance d'un gruau, & la pieuvre grillée noyait dans la sauce tomate. Seul point positif : nos serveurs ont été hors pair, offert un service sensible, & concocté de savoureux cocktails/mocktails. Mais au final, compte tenu que nous étions allés à ce resto pour notre 10e anniversaire de mariage -- après une première expérience très positive en décembre 2023 --, l'expérience d'aujourd'hui laisse un goût amer. J'aurais donné trois étoiles, mais depuis mon retour à la maison je suis prisonnier de ma salle de bain. D'où j'écris cette évaluation.View more

Nice ambience & vibe. Sat on the patio & everybody take note: the shade hits this side of the street first so you get relief faster on those hot days. Food wise is what you would expect from a higher tier French restaurant. Menu selection is delightful. My party had a variety of selections & drinks. All were good. If you get the full dozen oysters you might want extra condiments. Menu has fixed price set (gustation) & a la carte. I didn't get dessert but it seems good.View more

This was an amazing finish to our first day in Montreal. The vibe on Avenue du Mont Royal was such fun, & everything about our meal at Chez Victoire was superb. Matthew (Matthieu? Désolée!) was welcoming, encouraging, & extremely knowledgeable about both the food menu & the cocktail/wine list. All of his suggestions were spot on, & his enthusiasm was contagious. We enjoyed tasting the wines that he recommended so much! Local mushrooms were featured on the night's menu & were delicious, as was the burger de smoked meat maison; not a burger at all, but a perfectly sized portion of house smoked meat Montreal style with nicely paired condiments. Highly recommend the Clementine Mash cocktail for those who indulge. Merci mille fois!View more

I was looking forward to eating at this restaurant due to all the positive reviews. There isn't a wide variety of choices on the menu, but we did go for the tasting menu & without the wine pairing as we do not drink all that much. In general the food was good. It started off quite well & the appetizers were very tasty. However, the waiter brought out some burnt toast as if it was normal. I had to ask them to change them. The second time was much better. As we got the rest of the tasting menu, I noticed that the taste was very similar from one dish to another. Although it is very tasty, but at one point I wanted to be surprised by something else. It became redundant at one point. The atmosphere of the restaurant was nice & the decor is charming. The service was attentive, except for the burnt toast.View more

Came here for dinner, food were amazing, staff were really friendly, the only thing is the cocktails didn't impressed me. I tried three out of four & they were all alright. I was expecting better cocktails to go with the meal but was happy for what I got.View more

Nous avons partagé un dîner en amoureux! Tout de suite séduis par l'entrée à base de pétoncles & l'incroyable côte de boeuf. Les légumes, la sauce & les frites étaient divins! La cuisson saignante réussite a 100%. Le service professionnel, souriant & chaleureux. Nous avons pris le dessert avec digestif recommandé par notre serveuse au bar. Merci au chef & à toute son équipe en cuisine, Merci a tout le personnel en salle pour cette soirée mémorable!
