Best thing on the menu is the Beef Bourguignon! It was delicious !! The crème brûlée was also a very good choice for dessert .We sat at the bar & our waiter was amazing! He was super friendly & knowledgeable. The manager was very polite & friendly as well. I was not a fan of the fried calamari & would have enjoyed softer , warmer bread , but had a nice experience!

Je suis venu manger dans votre établissement & j'aimerais vous offrir mon expérience. J'ai été servi par Frank, nous étions assis au bar. C'était un moment très achalandés lors de notre passage au restaurant. Tout au long de notre présence, il était attentif & prêt à intervenir au besoin. Il est aller au delà de nos attentes & malgré la période très achalandés, il a pris le temps de nous sourire, nous parler amicalement & non pas juste prendre notre commande comme la majorité des services dorénavant. Vraiment un WOW pour Frank. Si j'aurais pu, pour son service je lui aurait donné un 6 étoiles. Les portions étaient toutefois plus petite en comparaison avec nos visites chez Lionel à Brossard ou nous sommes habitué d'aller... mais la qualité était au rendez-vous & l'ambiance pat Frank surpasse notre expérience. Au plaisir.
Très beau resto, ils ont réussi a créé une ambiance Parisienne malgré la grandeur de l'espace. Excellent service, pas de réservation avant le match des Canadiens. Lemaître d'hôtel très professionnel & courtois. Notre serveur au bar excellent,dans le jus total mais a trouver le moyen de répondre ànos blagues. Tout le staff semble très bien. Nous svonpris le menu événement . Tartare de saumon très bien mais comme toujours manque de goût dans les restos. Bisque de homard très bonne, un peu plus de rouille svp!! Nous avons pris la joue de boeuf. Viande méga tendre qui se mange a la fourchette. Belle sauce avec champignons, lardons & légumes racines. Petit hic, l' alligot loin d'en être un. Liquide, manquait de fromage, ressemblais plus a une purée un peu ratée. C était le seul hic de la soirée. Bravo à l'équipe de direction qui était mobilisée pour les clients & leur équipe. Des gestionnaires qui débarassent, serve les clients & qui vont au tables donne une belle image & cela se ressent dans tout le resto, bravo!!!!

Chez Lionel is a French bar & restaurant located at the southeast corner of Drummond & Rene Levesque West. It is located directly across the street from the Sheraton Hotel & close to the Bell Centre.
The spacious restaurant was opened around April 2025 & occupies two floors. The manager, Nick, explained the second floor can be used for a private function for about 100 guests.
We tried some of their classic French dishes. The appetizers, escargot & foie gras, were delicious & full of rich flavour. The server also gave us slices of complementary baguette & a jar of mini pickles.
For main course, the duck breast, the Basque chicken & sole meunière did not disappoint.
The restaurant gave us a crème brûlée to help us celebrate a special anniversary occasion.
Chez Lionel is a great French restaurant serving locally sourced ingredients. We enjoyed our dinner. Highly recommend it.

I've already been to this restaurant several times, with friends & colleagues, as I work in the adjacent tower block. Always a warm welcome, great food, friendly staff. That said, Saturday night was a very bad experience. Everything was going well right up to the bill. We were billed for an extra bottle, no problem, mistakes happen. We asked for a refund...it seemed like sending a rocket to the moon... That said, the problem was the manager in place that evening. A condescending, aggressive tone. The mistake was theirs, but Madame was probably in a hurry to leave. We've never been treated like this, whether in restaurants like Maison Boulud, L'europea, Mariott Champlain, Bar George, Marcus or others...This person should think about changing jobs, especially in Montreal downtown, where the competition is fierce & customers deserve respect, like everywhere else. Next week, my colleagues & I will go elsewhere, no doubt. It's a pity, because the place is beautiful, the food very good, & very well located, but when you have 4th-rate staff like this person, it ruins everything. I would like to say that our sergeant had nothing to do with this behavior, nothing to reproach him for. Good luck for the future.
We sat near the front windows, so further from the bar, but there was a television screen near me. Seemed odd to watch some MMA while having the fine dining. Noise level is very high & difficult to have a conversation across the table. Appeared to be a business crowd there, so maybe this is the theme? Apart from the atmosphere, the service & food were very good. Loved the free cornichons! Good wine list with lots of choices.
