Chez Levesque was such a lovely spot for dinner! We sat on the terrace with a group of 6 & had a really nice evening. Great service, a delicious Chablis, & so many yummy dishes to share. The endive & arugula salad with goat cheese & tomato carpaccio with Parmesan were delicious, as were the mushroom risotto & salmon tartare. We also tried the lobster bisque & lamb shank, & the best fries! 🍟
A delicious dinner, great atmosphere, & a really nice night. ❤?
Chez Lévêque has officially earned a spot on my'must return' list.
As someone who loves offal, I was thrilled to see such a serious selection on the menu. I had the calf liver for my main course, & it was cooked perfectly.. tender, flavorful, & a reminder of why French cuisine has such a great reputation for elevating ingredients that many people overlook. Next time, I'm coming back for the calf brain & veal kidneys. If they were as good as the liver, I'm in for a treat.
I've always believed that the French & the Turks are masters at turning'the unthinkable' into delicacies. Turkey is still the gold standard I've experienced for offal, but Chez Lévêque is right up there. One humble suggestion to the chef: add testicles to the offal menu! If they're prepared with the same care as everything else, I'm sure they'd be exceptional.
The rest of the table was just as impressed. The Provençal mussels were absolutely out of this world. I'd never had them prepared that way before. The sauce was so good that I shamelessly mopped up every last drop with bread. Not a spoonful went to waste.
We also shared the salmon tartare to start, & for mains we had the duck confit & the braised lamb shank. Every dish was beautifully executed, generously portioned, & fairly priced.
Authentic French cooking, outstanding execution, & a menu that still celebrates traditional dishes like offal.. Chez Lévêque is a rare gem. I'll definitely be back.
Excellente ambiance de brasserie francaise avec cuisine francaise excellente. Mousse de foie de volaille & ensuite Quenelle de brochet sauce Nantua ou tartare de boeuf suivi de Ile flottante ou religieuse au café... aussi bon qu'en France, dans les meilleurs restos, bravo. & service par Alexandre Gagon tres apprecié, courtois, professionel, avec le sens de la repartie!

Nous avons eu le plaisir d'essayer pour la première fois le restaurant Chez Lévêque... Je dois dire nous voyageons beaucoup & essayons plusieurs restaurants à travers le monde & c'est sûrement le meilleure service que j'ai reçu. Toute l'expérience a été quadruplé par le service digne d'un 5 étoiles que nous avons reçu de Marie. Marie fait une différence incroyable sur tout l'expérience, elle a le soucis du détail, elle remarque tout, elle est attentionnée, & s'assure que tout sera parfait & à la hauteur. Nous avons mangé des huîtres, du tartare, un excellent vin... tout était délicieux. À refaire, merci.
Nous sommes allé en semaine pour un souper d'affaires. Nous avons tous bien mangé. J'ai apprécié la bisque & mon tartare de saumon tandis que ma compagne s'est délectée d'escargots & du foie de veau. Recommandé!
I quite enjoyed my visit! The service was wonderful! It came with house made pate (delicious)! I ordered offal, which was my first time, & I have no regrets! The steak tartare was refreshing!
Venant au restaurant depuis plusieurs années, hier j'ai été déçu par la qualité du service & des aliments : Tartare moins savoureux que d'habitude. Deux erreurs sur les plats, plus de 15 minutes pour recevoir un verre de vin ( j'avais terminé mon repas lorsque la serveuse est venu pour le verre, le serveur dépose la crèpe suzette sans la flambée? Par chance le manager est venu rectifier ce dernier élement. Cependant, aucun gestes promotionnel n'a été offert pour compenser ces éléments. Habitué à l'excellence... on dirait que la nouvelle équipe manque de formation... Je n'y retournerai plus.
We came here the first day we arrived in Montreal, the staffs were very friendly & welcoming. The beef tartare was amazing, they let me try one scoop before serving the actual dish just to make sure I liked it, which is very caring.🥰 It was a good experience!
Service hors pair, & repas délicieux. Chez Lévêque c'est le confort & le décor chaleureux allié à une cuisine exquise. Le tartare est un délice, & la bouillabaisse du clergé une spécialité sublime!
