This place is perfect. I came about an hour before closing for dessert & a coffee, & everything was spot on. The cappuccino, churros, & chocolate lava cake were delicious. We were assisted by several team members-true teamwork. Michelle was lovely, & the waiter with the perfect hair (you know who you are!) made our evening even more enjoyable. Everyone was smiling & accommodating. A true gem in the Prairies. I will absolutely, positively be back!View more

Lors d'une soirée un peu dernière minute, on est allés dans le vieux La Prairie pensant aller dans un resto en particulier. Mais en arrivant, il n'y avait plus de places donc on s'est mis à la recherche d'un nouveau spot... On est tombés sur le restaurant Chez Julien, on avait littéralement aucunes attentes. Oh boy qu'on a bien mangé !!! Le carré d'agneau & kefta était délicieux, les filets mignons étaient cuits à la perfection. Je ne peut que recommander ce restaurant! Le service, les vins étaient excellents aussi. Au final, les chances que je retourne Chez Julien, même si c'était pas notre choix initial, sont très grandes! Merci encore !View more

via LibroI found that the presentation of the food 5/5. The quality/price of the meal was reasonable. 3.5/5 You think you are going to go home hungry but it turns out to be very filling as you savour every bite. I was expecting to see more ''sea'' in the seafood dish & especially for 30$ plate. It was literally difficult to see but it was there. Having said that, it was excellent. The octopus entree was to die for ! Cooking white fish perfectly is tough & last time they got it just right. This time, it was cooked just a little bit too much if we expect to be served perfection. The flavours & textures made the final bill much palatable. Having said that, I have a beef ( or a fish) with the Quebec restaurant industry & this restaurant is no exception. Our host was indifferent to our arrival & sat us down with mechanical precision. Robots don't need eyes when they are engineered to work a restaurant efficiently. What I like about many places in North America is how friendly & how happy the restaurant staff are to see you. This cannot be overstated! & yet Quebec restaurants just can't seem to do it 80% of the time. In addition, our waitress was not fully knowledgeable about the provenance of the fish but she did come back to check on us & the food often. That is not typical in these parts & was greatly appreciated. The host gets full credit for efficiency but a 1/5 for not spicing up the greeting & cracking the smallest of smiles. The waitress followed up so well that a 4/5 ignores the need for a sprinkle more knowledge for flavour. This restaurant is certainly one of our favourite go to restaurants on the Southshore on pay day. A very enjoyable night in the beautiful old quarter of La Prairie.

Un classique ce sympathique bistrot dans La Prairie.
À un menu fixe proposé pour les détenteurs de coupon Tuango intéressant, s'ajoutait un niveau de service impeccable livré par un serveur que nous voyions pour la première fois.
En résumé, un très bon rapport qualité / prix.
