Chez Devi offers a refined take on North Indian cuisine in the heart of downtown Montreal. This is not a buffet, but they do have an incredible all-you-can-eat weekday menu, which we had the chance to try. The experience is completely different from a traditional buffet-this is elevated dining, where each dish is freshly prepared & beautifully presented.
The butter chicken was rich & flavourful, with a depth of taste that truly stood out. The samosa was generously filled & perfectly crisp, while the masala had just the right amount of heat-spicy enough to add a kick but still approachable for all palates. The gulab jamun was a highlight, with the perfect balance of sweetness.
The ambiance is warm & elegant, making you feel transported to South Asia, & the service was exceptional. The staff frequently offered fresh bread & water, ensuring a top-tier dining experience. With its high-quality cuisine at an accessible price, Chez Devi is perfect for a business lunch, a night out with friends, or a romantic dinner. Definitely worth revisiting!

The service was good. The girl was friendly & helpful but the food was not that good. The quantity according to the price is very less & the quality of the food was so so. I like the ambience but all in all I did not like the food.View more
exceptional experience with authentic Indian cuisine. The naan is perfectly soft & slightly crispy, making it the perfect companion for the dishes. The Butter Chicken stands out as one of the best I've ever had-tender chicken in a rich, creamy sauce that's bursting with flavor. The quality of the food here is top-notch, reflecting the care & expertise that goes into each preparation. Highly recommended for anyone craving a true taste of India!View more
I'm new in Montreal,, i was looking for an Indian place & i came across the restaurant,,i went inside & the ambience was nice, i ordered chicken curry & naan, the quality is top-notch, great Indian music in the background, they have a great bar too. It's a great place if you're looking to have a dinner. The washrooms were pretty clean. The service was great. Will go back again with friends.View more
Best Indian food in all of Montreal. Amazing taste & quality, but I remove 1 star because they are cheap & they love ripping you off. I use to always order 150$ worth of food & every single time a bunch of plates would be missing. So now because of their terrible business tactics, I only order 30$ of food at a time to make sure no dishes are misses. They lack business skills. They seem to try to save money by pretending to always forget to add certain items to your delivery but in the end all they do is lose on money & customers. Bad way to do business...very unprofessional way to run a business. You don't get new/satisfied customers by jipping them out of their money...View more
The food wasn't the actual Indian taste...we ordered Paneer Makhani & Malai Kofta. Paneer Makhani was sweet but still edible but in Malai Kofta, in the name of kofta we were given gulaab jamun without dipped in syrup. We could actually taste the cardommom in the kofta...the quality of food isn't the same anymore...View more
Very expensive for the quality of the food being served. We were happy to have our dishes served hot but beyond that next time I feel like having Indian food I will make my own with canned sauces just like they do. I am still unsure about the origin of the lamb. A few pieces of meat where spattered among potato cubes in some watery spicy sauce. The waiter was friendly despite the fact that he could not speak a single word of french. In a city like Montreal it is always appalling not being able to be served in your own language. Finally, the menu offers a few draft beers. My Kingfisher ended up being served in a bottle & charged $1.50 more on the bill than the $7.75 original menu price. Sad to say but there are no more good Indian restaurant. Long gone are my memories of Indian feasts in India, they'll never return.View more
The food was okay but the service was so poor. Their worker are new & i think they just need money from our pockets. No management. We were four in group & guess what, their food was so expensive, every single person paid $39+tax & i paid $45+tax. I ordered Kadhayi chicken with 3 butter naan & one taj beer which was not good at all. Plus the service was so slow. I don't think I would like to come over here again better to go 3-amigos for easy going & chill food where you can have good quality food. I've been to Tandoori flame in Brampton one & I think the Indian which I had there was good enough. Indian-Beau was one of the good as well.
