Very expensive for the quality of the food being served. We were happy to have our dishes served hot but beyond that next time I feel like having Indian food I will make my own with canned sauces just like they do. I am still unsure about the origin of the lamb. A few pieces of meat where spattered among potato cubes in some watery spicy sauce. The waiter was friendly despite the fact that he could not speak a single word of french. In a city like Montreal it is always appalling not being able to be served in your own language. Finally, the menu offers a few draft beers. My Kingfisher ended up being served in a bottle & charged $1.50 more on the bill than the $7.75 original menu price. Sad to say but there are no more good Indian restaurant. Long gone are my memories of Indian feasts in India, they'll never return.View more
Habib took care of me & my friends. Suggested we take the lamb korma & the butter chicken, amazing. Offered us shots. Will be going back again forsure.View more
The appetizers were good however the main course we ordered (Lamb Bhuna) tasted stale & the meat was not soft. Felt like we were eating leftovers!!View more
I've ordered takeout twice from here. The first time I ordered chicken biryani, I wasn't too impressed. It wasn't bad but felt it didn't really taste like biryani but more like fried rice. However, I got the lamb biryani couple days ago & it was not only good but perhaps for the first time in Montreal the portion size was large enough to have leftover. I'd like to try them again to see if they're consistent.View more
Great food & great service. Our servers recommendations for Indian beers was helpful. Lamb Bhumi was awesome. Enjoyed the whole time there.View more
Everything about this restaurant is amazing. The decor, the atmosphere, the servers & most importantly, the food.
I went during the lunch hours but I asked for the a la carte menu because I like to see everything that is offered.
Anyways, I ordered the chicken tikka, the shredded okra, & their homemade samosas for starters accompanied with a mango yogurt drink. The chicken tikka for an appetizer was very pleasing. Tender & juicy & very flavourful - with the yogurt dip it was perfect! The samosas were also really good, though nothing too too special about them. The shredded okra dish was the server's recommendation (I think he was the manager or something from the way he acted - professional & polite). It was great. The okra isn't for everyone but vegetarians will sure like it. It has a mixture of tangy & spicy flavour with some onions & tomatoes mixed in.
For the main course I asked for the spiciest dish & he recommended the kudai (spelling?) chicken. I also ordered a super spicy chicken biryani. I was extremely pleased with the flavour in both dishes. Boy they were extremely spicy ... Like burning hot panting type spicy. Loved it!
I give this restaurant a 10/10.
I will be back to try their butter chicken & a spicy lamb dish.
