We had dinner at Chez Alexandre & Fils &, unfortunately, the experience was a bit disappointing. The service was quite slow, even though the restaurant wasn't overly busy. The food was decent but fairly average & didn't really stand out.

Considering the prices, we expected a higher quality meal & a better overall experience. It's not a bad restaurant, but there are many other places in Montréal that offer better value for the money.

Full marks for a true French Bistro atmosphere in Downtown Montreal. The service from all of the staff was faultless, & the food, well, it certainly did not disappoint. Many thanks for the recommendation from my hotel manager!!

J'adore ce restaurant. J'y vais à chaque fois que je vais en ville. Le tartare de saumon est délicieux! L'accueille est chaleureuse.

Our Hotel recommended this place for late night drink (after 11pm) as their bar was closing. I would not go again as service was rude, unwelcoming, slow & food was sub par. I'm sure there are better alternatives in the area.
As you can see by the manager's response, attitude is poor towards customer. Just because you've been around for 50 years doesn't mean your employees couldn't use an improvement in customer service. Btw I still tipped 20% for the lack of service

L'ambiance est chaleureuse & raffinée, le personnel est attentionné, professionnel & d'une grande gentillesse, & chaque plat est préparé avec passion & un véritable savoir-faire. Tout est réuni pour offrir une expérience inoubliable. Sans aucune hésitation, c'est le meilleur restaurant que j'aie eu le plaisir de découvrir. Je le recommande les yeux fermés !
