Chenoy's est souvent décrit comme un deli a l'ancienne du West Island, avec une ambiance nostalgique, des portions généreuses et des prix raisonnables, et un smoked meat apprécié par beaucoup. For their smoked meat & deli, as well as cheesecake, it's great. They have the best smoked meat on the west island, better than Pete's. The rest of the food is mediocre, & although the service is friendly, it's very slow. The decor could use an update as well.
Mon smoked- meat était gras, demandez extra maigre. Restaurant anglophone mais ont toutefois continué en français quand ils ont constaté qu'on répondait en français.
I would have given 5 star if the fries were good. We left all of our fries on the plates for both of our meals unfortunately. Other then that the sandwiches were both tasty, the french onion soup was ok, wouldn't order it again. Stick to the smoked meat folks.
Nostalgia. Grew up off Gouin. Used to be a family haunt for us. When we moved from Montreal to Ottawa....it was the last meal we had. 30 years later, my mom, my partner etc...still take the trip for Smoked Meat. Worth it. Never change!
Walked in to buy smoked meat. Didn't stay to eat. Atmosphere is one that take you back alittle bit. Service was good at the time. Their smoked meat are comparable to that of others around but this was in & around our area
Me & my wife went to chenoy at st jean yesterday on Saturday & its been a long time since i last visited. The smoke meat was the same as it used to be long ago & we were served by a young guy named vivian or viv i think. He took care of us & was really impressed how professional & nice he was to us. Definitely a good place to get smoke meat
