Also got some really delicious mini steamed buns. Great portions for the price & the general tso's was still crispy despite uber eat's long delivery time. Will definitely be reordering.
I knew it was not going to be the healthiest meal; but I had a massive craving for some General Tso Chicken & it had been quite a while since I had a really good one. I ordered their BOGO deal which came with a side of rice; the meal was incredibly filling & super tasty, & the rice itself was also pretty good. I also added the Wonton Soup to my order; which turned out to be quite good as well.
My only real gripe with Chef Tang is the pricing structure. Many restaurants seem to inflate their BOGO prices on delivery apps; which makes it feel like you are not getting an actual discount. I would never willingly pay the regular price of nearly forty four dollars for these two meals. Furthermore, charging ten dollars for a medium soup is far too expensive; it is essentially just broth with five wontons, which breaks down to two dollars a piece.
It is definitely a solid option if you suddenly get a strong craving for Chinese takeout; but the overall cost is somewhat difficult to accept. On a final note, I really wish the kitchen would find a way to offer a low sodium option for health conscious customers; as I am pretty sure the salt levels here are not great for my blood pressure. But if you simply have to satisfy that comfort food craving, this is a good spot.
I haven't had the chance to dine in person yet, but Chef Tang has officially become my go-to spot on Uber Eats! I've ordered from here multiple times now, & the consistency is incredibly impressive.
The main courses & side dishes are always packed with flavor, the food arrives hot, & the portions are genuinely generous. The only thing I've tried that wasn't for me was the chicken feet, but literally everything else has been absolutely delicious & well-made.
The only small detail worth mentioning is that their prices lean a little bit higher compared to some competitors, & main dishes don't automatically include rice on the side. You do have to order it extra, whereas other spots might be $2 to $3 cheaper & throw the rice in.
That being said, because the food quality & portion sizes are always so high & consistently great, I really don't mind paying the premium. Highly recommend ordering from here if you want an excellent, high quality meal!
Great little Asian restaurant! We have passed by so many times & finally decided to give it a shot & we were very happy we did. We weren't exactly starving so we only ordered a plate of fried rice to share, along with some eggrolls & a wonton & hot & sour soup.
Everything was excellent. Nothing was out of a package or out of the freezer. All was made from scratch & fresh.
Service was warm & friendly & we felt like we were long time customers instead of first timers. This may have been the first time there, but it certainly will not be the last. They have a large menu, & we plan on trying most of it in the future. Considering the lack of excellent Chinese food in the area, we were really happy we gave this place a shot. I regret not taking any pictures, something I will not forget to do the next time.
Also, the restaurant was very clean & so was the washroom. So nice to see.
Highly recommended!
we ordered takeout, & though it took a while to arrive (~1 hour, which makes sense seeing as it was a saturday night) the wait was absolutely worth it. the food was delicious (we ordered tao chicken & fried rice) & the portions were very large for the price we paid. i would definitely eat here again!
I love Chef Tang restaurant ! I ordered by Uber Eats for delivery. The restaurant followed all my requests. They even checked off the items,to ensure that I received everything I ordered. All the food was excellent ! I really enjoyed their General Tao chicken, sesame beef & especially their noodle dishes, such as Cantonese Chow mein ,& Rice noodles. I can honestly say that the food was the best Chinese food,I have ever tasted. Even though I ordered later in the evening ,& I live a distance from the restaurant, I received the order promptlyand the food was hot & fresh !Again,I am so pleased that they read & followed my requests to a tee . An added plus is that some of the food was two for one, like their delicious chicken wings! Thank you Chez Tang-a repeated customer definitely!!
Big portions of food, but almost none of it tastes any good. I ordered through Uber eats & got combo A (general tao, rice, wonton soup, beef & vegetables, spring rolls), & ordered an additional Singapore noodle & salt & pepper shrimp. The only dish that has any flavor worth mentioning is the shrimp. The beef & veg are completely tasteless. The general tao is soggy. The Singapore noodles & spring rolls tasted off.
