We had dinner at Chand Palace on a Sunday evening as a group of four & ordered several dishes to share: palak paneer, chicken tikka masala, masala dosa, mixed biryani, & the mixed tandoori platter. The total came to around CAD $80 before tip, which felt like a reasonable price for four people.
The biggest downside was the wait. Although there were only about four other occupied tables, our food took over 30 minutes to arrive. It appeared that the restaurant was prioritizing online & takeout orders, which unfortunately affected the dine-in experience.
As for the food, it was decent but didn't quite stand out. Most of the dishes were a little too salty, which overpowered some of the flavors. The masala dosa had a good filling, but the dosa itself would have been much better if it had been crispier & freshly made. The mixed tandoori platter had a fairly high spice level, but the seasoning & smoky flavors were just average rather than memorable. The palak paneer & chicken tikka masala were enjoyable enough, while the mixed biryani was satisfying but not particularly distinctive.
Overall, Chand Palace offers fair value for the price, but the portions could be a bit more generous, & the execution of several dishes could be improved. It wasn't a disappointing meal, but it also wasn't one that would make me eager to return immediately. I'm interested in trying some of the other Indian restaurants in the Montreal area to see how they compare, as I haven't yet found one that truly stands out. Based on this visit, I'd rate Chand Palace around 3.5 out of 5 stars.
My favorite indian in Montreal. Great for delivery. Don't go anywhere else. Wish I could find the same in toronto.. the veg pakora samosa & butter chicken are the move.
Great Indian food taste & service.place is small but better then others .I realize food is very tasty & good in price .I recommend this place .Indian food lovers should try one time
I always ordered via UberEats. I have eating indian for 40 yrs This restaurant is among the top 5% I would come to eat inside the restaurant when i have the chance. The food would be even better freshly served. Recommend ...!
Best indian food ive ever had on this island. Glad I found the best of the best 😌
Amazing food, best indian on the corner & in montreal. It sometime is inconsistent but 8 times out of 10 it's delicious with 2 out of 10 with it just being good. So it's either delicious or good! If you dine in it's byob. It does get really packed on fridays & saturdays so go in early! Because you'll have to wait..
We have been going to this restaurant for years it is our favourite Indian restaurant.l in Montreal. The nan is the best that we have ever had. The butter chicken & shrimp biryani rice are excellent too. & the cook & waitresses are very nice to us.

Went last night(10pm) with my son. Very busy place. Actually all Indian restaurants in area were full. Customers seemed to appreciate Bring your own wine at Chand Palace. Food was excellent. Great portions & fantastic price. Had Naan bread, 2 chicken plates, large rice bowl with chicken. Plenty of food for 2 plus doggy bad for one... All for $29 tax incl.
I will be back for more.
