We recently visited Chai Paratha in downtown Montreal with our kids, & honestly, it felt more like visiting family than going to a restaurant. ❤?
We ordered aloo paratha, normal paratha, karak chai, & sabz chai - everything was absolutely delicious. The best part for us was that the food had a very mild spice level, which made our kids enjoy every bite without any complaints. Usually spicy food upsets kids, but this time they loved it so much!
The atmosphere was peaceful, clean, & felt very high-end. You can clearly see they have zero tolerance for hygiene issues - everything was neat, organized, & perfectly maintained.
What truly touched our hearts was the kindness & honesty of the staff. My wife accidentally forgot her purse in the restaurant, & when we called them, they were extremely cooperative & respectful. We got the purse back safely, & they handled everything with such care & professionalism.
I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Muhammad Asim Bajwa. Such a humble, hardworking, & kind-hearted person. While talking to him, you could genuinely feel his love & respect for people. He even called my wife his daughter - that level of warmth & care is very rare these days.
This place did not feel like just a restaurant… it truly felt like home.
May God bless him, his family, & his business with more success & happiness.
100% recommended place in Montreal for families, tea lovers, & anyone looking for delicious food with genuine hospitality. 🌟
Sorry, I don't have a picture of my meal. I had Chicken Paratha combo that came with 2 chicken Paratha & a cup of chai I picked Masala chai. First of all, delicious Parathas highly recommend. When the food came out It was piping hot.& the chai OMG I need a bigger cup of that chai it was that good. If I'm in the area & not hungry, I would just walk in there for a cup of chai. I can't wait to go back & try their chicken Biryani & pretty much everything they have on their menu. I hope you keep it up with good service & delicious food out of that kitchen.
I am from Toronto & visiting Montreal over the weekend. The trip was amazing until I decided to eat Halwa Puri at Chai Paratha as it was eventually the closest from where I was living. I placed order over the phone & they said it will take 15 mints. I came after 15 mints the order was not ready. I had to wait 30 more minutes & when I said in Urdu
* I have placed order for halwa puri not Payay.. that you are taking so long*
The woman on counter was extremely rude & said this is restaurant not your home*
I was literally pissed off & she wouldn't say sorry.
When I said I am not gonna eat & I am leaving then just to save her order she apologized.

The chai was one of the worst I've had.
It lacked the rich flavor you'd expect. Paratha was greasy & heavy.
I felt uncomfortable after eating it.
Definitely not going back.
I was really disappointed with my visit here.
The paratha was oily & lacked authentic flavor.
Service felt rushed & not very welcoming.
The chai was lukewarm when served.
Definitely not what I expected based on the hype.
My wife & I went there for brunch since we were visiting Montreal from Niagara & tried their Lacchha paratha, Alu Paratha & Anda Pyaaz.
Very Delicious & high quality food. Highly recommended if you're in town to go check out their place for delicious food. Mr. Bajwa & his wife were extremely hospitable for us & friendly/polite people.
'The owner was extremely friendly & welcoming, which made our visit even more enjoyable. We absolutely loved the food - everything was fresh & full of flavor. As a kind gesture, they even treated us to a delicious sweet paratha, which was such a pleasant surprise. Overall, it was a wonderful experience & we truly appreciated the warm hospitality.' 😊
