Tried their Halwa poori & Combo Aloo paratha , chicken paratha. Everything is solid 10/10. Highly recommended
We visited this place on a Saturday for breakfast with a group of 15 family members including kids & the first thing we noticed was this establishment was packed with customers & not enough seats were available for us but to make our experience excellent, the owner(behind cash counter) requested other customers & made some seat movements so our family could have a cozy corner table with heated sofa. The WOW breakfast experience started right from the moment we entered this establishment & then came our food (Halwa Puris, butter chicken, aloo parathas, Nutella parathas, karak chai, puris) every single order was exceptionally tasty & delicious. What a gem of a restaurant right in heart of downtown Montreal. This place is a must visit not only for their delicious food but warm & welcoming customer service which was top notch & second to none.
Amazing aloo paratha & chicken paratha & awesome hospitality from the owner. He even gave us free chai & halwa 😊😊😊❤?❤?
Visited this place for the first & definitely last time. Ordered an Aloo Paratha, Halwa Puri, & the Anda Pyaz deal. The food itself was nothing special, barely average & absolutely not worth the hype or the price.
The real disaster was the wait time: over one full hour just to receive the first Halwa Puri, followed by another 20 minutes for the rest of the order. Completely unacceptable.
On top of that, the place is tiny, cramped, & extremely congested. There's barely any space to stand, let alone sit comfortably. If you have kids, don't even think about it, it's chaotic & uncomfortable.
Overall, poor service, long waits, average food, & a terrible dining environment. Plenty of better options elsewhere. Save yourself the frustration & skip this place entirely.
A cute cozy spot with Bollywood music. A must visit if you're craving for authentic parathas & chai!
We were craving authentic Pakistani food & this place fulfilled our cravings perfectly. It was all fresh & homemade, amazing attention to detail. I felt warm after leaving this place. Warm inside with the amazing food, out of this world paratha/puri & chai. Even the decoration inside was visually pleasing & all the small trinkets to the umbrellas in the ceiling show a lot of love was put into creating this place.
Lahore beef nihari 10/10
Puris & parathas 10/10
Service, kindness & homie feeling 10/10
One of the best stuffed parathas I've eaten outside home, & easily the best in Montreal!! I had heard rave reviews about it from friends for about two years now & finally had the opportunity to visit.
Not only is the food is fresh & served piping hot, it's also well-priced. Service was wonderful as well. I ordered the aloo paratha combo -thinking I would eat one paratha & pack the second one so I can sip on my chai. I ended up eating both parathas & leaving with a full heart.
I'm hoping to go back soon with friends & family (multiple trips)!
Love the aloo parathas & gobi parathas from here. Great service & friendly owners/staff.
Came here to try out the karak chai & uncle ji blessed us with some sweet paratha also. Very rare to find some good desi chai &/or desi snack type spots in montreal. Overall I must say it's a great business with a very good menu. Uncle Bajwa is amazing, will definitely return to try all the other great things on their menu.
Parathas are obviously great here but the chole bhature here are 🤌
I had such a great experience at Chai Paratha Montreal! The ambiance instantly gave me full desi café vibes - the colourful décor, the hanging plants, the wooden crates, & those traditional kulhad cups made it feel so authentic & cozy.
We ordered their Alloo & paneer parathas, & honestly… SO good! Fresh, flavourful, crispy, & served with butter that just melts perfectly - pura ghar-wala taste 😍.
The place is super aesthetic too, perfect for pictures with the neon sign & warm lighting. Staff was friendly, service was good, & the vibes were immaculate.
This food in this place is stunning; I had the butter chicken & the cauliflower-stuffed paratha & both were so delicious that I vowed to return the very next day & that is where I'm planning on eating lunch later today. The butter chicken was served with the most incredible silky & spiced sauce & the cauliflower stuffed paratha was so DELICIOUS & spicy. If I lived near this place, I would want to eat there several times a week.
I ordered Chicken Paratha, Aloo Paratha, Gobhi Paratha, Kadak Chai, Kashmiri Chai, & Gajar Halwa - & everything was just awesome! The food was fresh, flavorful, & perfectly made. The parathas were stuffed generously, the chai was aromatic, & the gajar halwa was the perfect sweet ending. On top of that, the owner was extremely humble & spoke so nicely, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommended!
✨ Today we visited chai prantha during our 4-day trip to Montreal, & honestly, this was the best part of our trip! The parathas were absolutely delicious, & the kadak chai was just perfect - I have no words! The vibe was amazing, & the owners, Uncle Asim & Aunty Sabiha, were so warm & polite. They made us feel completely at home. Such a heartwarming experience! ❤?Highly recommend this place.
Aloo Paratha was made fresh to order & deliciously flavourful.... & spicy. While I absolutely love chai, I don't believe I've had Karak chai before & found this style more on the bitter side.
The restaurant is small & can maybe fit about 20-25 people in total.
The only turn off about this visit was that you could hear all the noises coming from the bathroom & the owner decided to do some drilling work during business hours & while diners were enjoying their dinner. A little unprofessional in my opinion. The repairs didn't appear urgent
Great food great atmosphere. Especially the aloo paratha & mango lassi (super thick). As well as chicken tandoori tika
We ordered two combos - Aloo (potato) paratha & Gobi (cauliflower) paratha - each served with yogurt & Karak Chai. The service was courteous & quick, & the food was absolutely delicious with an authentic Lahori taste & flavor. Every bite reminded us of traditional home-style cooking.
A must-visit spot in Downtown Montreal for anyone craving genuine Lahori-style parathas & chai. Highly recommended!
