This was the most expensive of the two & the other restaurant was miles above this one in terms of quality. The onion soup was mediocre, I had a full duck breast & either it was the smallest duck or they didn't give it entirely. (I cook duck on a regular basis) it was also poorly cooked & bland. The wine list was boring & the bottle we were interested in wasn't even available. The service was decent but lacked enthusiasm. I think this restaurant is meant to impress tourists who aren't used to high quality dining experiences. While nothing was actually bad (why im giving 3 stars & not 2 or 1) Nothing was good or great. A very forgettable experience.View more
The house specialty - cooking on a hot stone at your table- is fun & delicious! From soup to dessert, everything is consistently great. Cozy table in a relaxed atmosphere. We go many times a year!View more
We had supper here for my birthday & it was delicious! We had the onion soup, Swiss Fondue, beef cheek, duck, creme Brulee, & red wine. The staff were also very kind. I highly recommend.View more
The food was good overall, but I was not impressed by the onion soup, it lacked cheese & onion. The pierrade stone grill was a unique experience & entertaining in its own way. They had a different variety of meat & seafood to choose from. The service could've been better though, we waited a long time (approximately an hour) while they were serving the other customers who ordered after us.View more
Had the hot stone table d'hôte; every course delicious as always, from soup or salad to dessert! Our favourite restaurant on Rue St Jovite. Have been going for years & we're always happy with our experienceView more
Our dinner at C'est La Vie was a highlight of our trip to Canada! We were very smart to travel 15 mins outside of the Mont Tremblant resort area. The cuts of meat were perfect! Elk from a nearby farm, filet mignon, tuna, bison, etc. All so good. The salads, French onion soup, & desserts were also delicious. Ultimately, it was a very unique & fun experience with a fantastic meal. Dont let the unassuming interior fool you!View more
Came here after a trip on the slopes in Mt Tremblant. My table got the liver & roasted duck breast. It was superb! I don't recommend the French onion soup here. Very kind servers & staff as well!View more
My partner & I had a wonderful meal (hot stone for her & liver for me) & server (tall man with gray hair). We will definitely come back.
One minor comment: I had a three-course meal but didn't realize that not all of the appetizers & desserts were included. I should have picked up on that when our server said the appetizer choices were soup or house salad. Perhaps you could add some asterisks with the appetizers like you did for the desserts (which I noticed when it came time to order dessert). That said, we enjoyed our meals 100%. Thank you.
My wife ordered the stone grill meal & I ordered the calf's liver. Both good, better than average actually. But the French onion soup I ordered was a MAJOR disappointment. Basically they ladled the soup into a crock & then served it to me with a piece of cheese toast, separately. I had to cut the toast into pieces & dipped them into the soup. The soup was not baked at all. I do not understand how any self respecting French chef could serve something like that! Disgraceful!
Nous avons essayé la pierrade canadienne, une superbe découverte, avec une soupe en entrée, un délice. & encore merci pour la serveuse qui, grâce à sa bonne humeur & son professionnalisme, a rendu l'expérience encore plus belle.View more
Second time eatng here. Everything was perfect. Food, service, ambiance.
Had filet mignon, shrimp. Boar, escargot, onion soup, foie gras, profiterole.
Food was realy good, I hightly recommend the onion soup...DELISH. The staff is very professional. Perfect place for a romantic diner.
We enjoyed a fabulous meal at C'est La Vie! The appetizers arrived promptly & set the tone for the meal ahead. We enjoyed the Swiss fondue, French onion soup & Foie Gras. Our mains were a mix of the classic meals of duck & filet & one of us enjoyed the hot stone with mixed meats. We. were all very pleased with our mains & finished it off with the cherry sundae which was light, fresh & divine. Service was great throughout the evening. A great experience in Temblant!
Absolutely wonderful meal from Starters to mains through to dessert. Host was a delight as well. Very much enjoyed the escargot, onion soup, hot stone duck & calf's liver. Finished off with an Ice cream sundae!!!
Delicious food. We ordered the Children's salmon & Children's beef hot stone, the shrimp & beef tenderloin hot stone, Caesar salad & Onion soup. The fish & beef were so tender & flavourful & the soup was my personal favourite. Next time we will try escargot it looked great.
