Le Céramic Café-Studio, une franchise unique! Un studio de peinture sur céramique, un café-restaurant ainsi qu'une boutique, tout dans un même lieu. Depuis son ouverture en 1997, on se donne rendez-vous au Céramic Café-Studio. Que l'on soit artiste débutant ou peintre accompli, seul, en famille ou entre amis, on peut venir y peindre des céramiques originales, personnalisées et pratiques au quotidien. Les réputés paninis y sont fameux, les smoothies délicieux et les cafés réconfortants. Le Céramic Café de la rue St-Denis à Montréal est le premier Céramic Café qui a ouvert au Québec, en 1997. Depuis 2007 il est au 4338 rue St-Denis, angle Marie-Anne près du métro Mont-Royal. Auparavant il était de l'autre côté de la rue au 4201 rue St-Denis, au coin de la rue Rachel. Les propriétaires et créateurs du concept, Paola Cacopardo et Gilles Geoffrion, sont les franchiseurs des quatre Céramic Café. Ce Céramic café de Montréal est disposé sur 2 étages et il peut accueillir jusqu'à 100 personnes. L'équipe du Céramic Café de Montréal se déplace aussi loin qu'a Gatineau afin d'offrir l'activité de peinture sur céramique à des groupes tels que les écoles et services de garde, les camps d'été, les partys de bureau, les showers, les fêtes d'enfants et autres occasions. Really love this place! There's a great variety of pottery pieces & paint colours. The food & drink options are also solid, I really like the sandwiches! Also, the music selection is great :)

Perfect place for a cute date with your partner or friends. You can drink some good coffee or tea while painting cute ceramics that you can bring back home after 2 weeks.

I went in December & had a good time painting, it's a fun & cozy place, & the experience itself was nice. But when I got my pieces back, I noticed someone had written with pencil underneath before glazing, so it got marked into the final piece. There were also a few pen marks. Not a big deal, but still a bit disappointing.
I made two small bowls to use for snacks. After just two uses (hand-washed both times), both bowls ended up with a bunch of visible cracks. I don't think they're deep or structural, but they don't look nice at all anymore.
Honestly, for the price, I expected a better finish. I get that part of it is paying for the experience, but if the final product doesn't last or look good, I wouldn't do it again.

As much as I liked the activity, the staff was horrible. The numerous times they've asked if we've paid despite having the transaction done several seconds ago, & in front of their own colleagues. Honestly felt like they were hoping to con their customers in paying for the "members," that they claimed did not pay even though they've been paid for. The other problem I noticed is that after receiving the ceramics was that all of the pottery were chipped at the bottom, & the paint that was originally there before giving to the employees were suddenly removed after the final product was received. So clearly, you're paying a hefty amount for a shitty job from this facility. I wouldn't recommend going here again, if anything find another place to enjoy this activity.

I had a great time visiting, I had such a nice time with my friend, talking, drinking smoothies & nachos & painting! All the girls were really nice & kind. We only had an issue, they changed 6 times by mistake one of the items, we realized until we left but they reimbursed us without problem.

I've gone twice to this place & have enjoyed them both times. Whether with friends, on a date or on your own, I think this is a fun activity. There are plenty of paint color options as well as ceramics to choose from. All tools are provided. I definitely wish they had more variety in brushes & of higher quality, maybe an option for those more skilled or for more detailed work. I would recommend bringing your own brushes. The place can get a bit warm too, wish it had better ventilation. As for the food & drinks, I can't say as I have never ordered, but I've had no issues bringing bubble tea in. Staff are nice as well.

On a aimé l'expérience, mon fils a choisi & paint une tasse pour sa professeur, c'était prêt en "rush" (2.5 jours) & très beau. Excellent choix des couleurs & techniques

My kids like spending time in this cafe. They have good quality material, staff is helpful & friendly. They charge time for sitting there beside painting & material cost.

such a nice & relaxing spot to paint with friends! they offer a nice range of ceramics ranging from statues to mugs, though the prices can get quite expensive. they have a lot of tools & paints at your disposition, everything is very easy to access. i come here all the time, it's the perfect place for artisty people who love chatting the day away while designing their own ceramics!

The attention of the girls at the place was excellent when we went to paint our ceramic pieces, they explained the procedures very well, the food & drinks were very tasty. But a week after removing our pieces, the glaze was missing, I only used the mug twice but I'm afraid it will break, we called but they didn't give us any solution.

Such a fun activity! You begin by choosing a pottery item & the selection is huge! There is so much to paint varying in sizes, prices, utilities! After that you can pick your paint colours & there is a helpful chart showing you what the colours will look like once your product is glazed. There is also lots of helpful information on painting technique & style. Once you settle in with all of that, you can order drinks & food & it is the most enjoyable way to spend an afternoon or evening. I highly recommend & it's a surprise when you go back a week later to pick up your creation! You pay by the hour & per item.

Did not consume any food.
The only criticism: the lighting is not appropriate. Pendant lights above the tables would give direct lighting on the painting experience, thus making it easier to apply details.

Very disappointed. Had gone to Ceramic Cafe a couple times before & never had these issues, maybe the waitress who took our table was new & didn’t know better, but 1) they made us pay for a ceramic that I picked out at the beginning but didn’t touch at all (previously they just wouldn’t charge you for it - & actually a few days later when I did the same with other friends this wasn’t an issue somehow: I had picked out 3 things, only painted 2, so they took off the 3rd item from the paper as they should). 2) the item I did paint, I got back chipped in multiple places, with the paint being see through in spots I know I went over 3 times. Maybe there was an accident & they dropped it, maybe the person handling it was a bit of a clutz, either way they should have disclosed the faults & given a refund. This is not the service & quality I expect. I feel scammed.
