Après notre randonnée à Val-David, nous nous sommes arrêtés ici & avons malheureusement été déçus du service. Nous avons dû interpeller un employé à notre arrivée, puis attendre avant de pouvoir commander. Les ustensiles ont également été oubliés & nous avons dû les demander nous-mêmes.

Plus préoccupant, nous avons vu une employée manipuler notre gâteau au fromage & se lécher les doigts pendant sa préparation. Cette situation nous a mis très mal à l'aise concernant l'hygiène.

Nous avons aussi trouvé le service peu attentif & l'accueil plutôt froid. Après une randonnée, nous espérions simplement pouvoir manger tranquillement & profiter d'un service courtois. Malheureusement, notre expérience n'a pas été à la hauteur de nos attentes & nous ne prévoyons pas revenir.

Un super endroit, bel ambiance, un service impeccable, des plats exquis avec de superbes propriétaires, soit Juliette & Hugo, accompagné d'Andréa. Encore merci pour l'excellent brunch.

Best breakfast place ever! 🙌🏼 I recommend it 100%!

The gluten-free bread isn't even an extra charge, which I really appreciate. They also have different types of coffee beans to choose from, & I was honestly impressed! ☕?

Once again, this is definitely the best breakfast place in Val-David. The owners are so kind & friendly, & you can really feel the passion they put into what they do. The chef works incredibly hard, & everything was delicious.

Un petit trésor des Laurentides, peut-être même victime de son succès les week-ends, à en croire l'attente qui peut s'y former ! Mais elle en vaut la peine. Astuce: allez-y en semaine ou lorsque la météo vous permet de croire que d'autres ne seront pas tentés & vous pourrez prendre la mesure des talents de la propriétaire, tant en gastronomie qu'en aménagement &, comme le nom l'indique, en causette !

Even though they thought we'd slipped out without paying the bill, & even though I didn't get to try the brunch, it was a great experience to eat at such a beautiful place, great service, an interesting afternoon menu, a good selection of teas, & pretty good desserts. It's a super relaxing place.

Everything we ordered was delicious! 😋😋😋The brioche doré, béné,& yaourt granola. The matcha latté, latté with coulis & cappuccino were perfect! The service was friendly, professional & timely. Highly recommend!

La Causette is easily one of the most welcoming, vibrant, & soul nourishing spots in the region! The atmosphere is colorful, warm, & feels just like being surrounded by family & friends.
What makes this place truly stand out is their deep commitment to eco friendly, sustainable practices. Everything is locally sourced, centered around recycling & composting, & made with love. Their menu is wonderfully balanced with fantastic vegetarian, vegan, & gluten free options available for all meals, plus no extra charge for the gluten-free bread, which is a huge win!
For savory cravings, adding grilled halloumi to their dishes (like the Shakshuka, Tartine Verte,'Pas si faux' or even to their mushroom benedict) is an absolute must. & their Eggs Benedict? Truly on another level, featuring an authentic, freshly made hollandaise.
To drink, you can choose from different kinds of coffee beans (definitely try & recommend the Barrike bean!), perfectly brewed & prepared by Laurie, hands down the best coffee in town alongside their refreshing smoothies. Make sure to leave room for their well-crafted desserts, especially the gluten-free chocolate brownies & orange almond cake.
A massive shoutout to Juliette, whose mindful presence & top tier customer service bring the whole experience to another level. Whether you're a local or just passing by Val-David, La Causette is an unmissable destination.
