From rice & beans to macaroni salad from the broth (best griot broth we've had in montreal, very flavorful) only thing is they give you the tiniest of the tiniest size of pikliz & not spicy enough. Wish they give us a little more & make it much more spicy. :)View more
Omg, so I just ordered from DoorDash & I was soooooo disappointed ………… disappointed THAT I DIDN'T ORDER FROM THEM SOONER ( I may look completely obsessed because I just left a review on DoorDash already like 5 minutes ago ) but honestly I am so impressed & so happy that I found a good haitian restaurant in the area where I recently moved that I HAD to leave a review on google as well ( I started to lose hope & thought that I was maybe just a picky eater after trying 5 different ones in the area , each of which either had weird rice or tasteless meat I even got a restaurant who was putting a bunch of paprika in their rice… ) anyways!!! FIRST THING FIRST, WOW…. & second thing, wow !!?? … don't believe the other negative reviews about their food. they must be from their competitors or some'karen' because WOW… did I say wow ? LOL. Big fan of their cook(s) !!! ( I had the Cabrit & riz collé plate )View more
Was visiting Montreal over the weekend & thought to grab Haitian food since there aren't really good Haitian spots in Toronto, where I'm from. I came across the reviews for this place & thought I'd give this place a try & let's just say I'm glad I did. I wish I grabbed a photo of the food before I demolished it lol but let me say it was a 10/10. I ordered the 3 piece accra with griot plate which came with djon djon rice, plantain, fresh green salad, macaroni salad & sauce. 10a across the board from the taste, flavour profile, freshness & customer service. I've been craving Haitian food so bad & I can definitely say this food satisfied my craving & more. I'll definitely be back!View more
Best customer service I have ever experienced in a carribean food place. They were polite, helpful & fast!!! I love haitian food & I am always willing to try new places. I tried this restaurant in August 2024 for the first time. The service was exceptional & I got my food in less than 5 minutes! The food: the portion was great, it included rice, salad, pasta salad, plantains & griot. The rice & potato salad was some of the best I have had & their sauce for the rice was perfect. The plantains were perfect & crisp. The griot was good... not thest best i had, maybe 3rd out of many many restaurants over the years but still good. I would not hesitate to return & try more on their menu. It is pick up/take out only & cash/interac only.View more
Delicious & incredible service, first time there & got to try a bit of everything with their advice Minor things for improvement, not sure if it exists already as I didn't know: All meats seem to be fried & hard, if there were some softer &/or healthier meat options, would be great. Also adding extra beef can be pretty expensive though, i believe should be re-priced Everything else was great, the rice really hits the spotView more
Everything tastes so good! Large vegetarian plate comes in at under $20 with a very big serving of rice, 5 Accras & 2 plantains plus side salad, cheesy pasta & 2 sauces. Very helpful & friendly staff. Just a shame there is nowhere to eat inside or outside.View more
This is hands down the best Haitian spot I've been to. Unbelievably good & humble little spot. Carry out only. The Pikiliz was to die for & the griot & rice were all perfectly seasoned & cooked.View more
