Casse-Croûte MangeDansMonHood est un petit sous-sol convivial qui met en valeur des smash burgers excellents, surtout le Cali, avec une viande juteuse, une croûte caramelisée et un pain moelleux. Le menu est simple et efficace autour du burger, des frites fines et croustillantes et d'une poutine solide, le tout servi par une équipe chaleureuse dans une ambiance rétro hip hop qui donne une sensation de quartier. L'endroit peut être très fréquenté et la ventilation est parfois évoquée, mais l'énergie, le rapport qualité-prix et le caractère authentique en font une adresse incontournable pour les amateurs de smash burgers.
Delicious smash burger 🍔! It's a bit small so I recommend getting two if you're hungry. 9$ for a burger is a very fair price! I tried the Cali burger & the OL' dirty fries. I really liked the burger, the dirty fries was basically a burger on-top of the fries without the buns. I'd get two burgers instead next time (I'm not a fries person). I really appreciate that it's halal! Keep up the great work!
great service, awesome decor, & amazing food! smash burgers were very smashable😏 & the ol'dirty fries deliciously cweamy💦 strongly recommend adding the bacon jam! (contains a bit of heat)

This is THE burger you want.
Simple menu, fresh food & a vibe that makes me wish I could have a basement like this.
The input atmosphere is lower because it is very warm inside & the so call terrasse is like a cantina but WHO CARES the food is out of this world.
Note that I am a burger aficionado & this one is the new #1 champion
The Cali burger was delicious burger , I feel like the hype around it made me expect a wow factor when I bit into it , but it was just a delicious smash burger . The Ol dirty fries flavour was delicious almost like McDonald's but better , I just wish the fries were better . But all in all a good price point & a tasty burger .
First let's understand the context of why 5 stars.
This is based on the fact that it's trying to be a simple & focused burger & fry diner like non nonsense eclectic restaurant.
Atmosphere hits the point perfectly.
Seating is not as inviting as dining, but it's fun & probably more comfortable when it's not so hot in a the sweltering heat of a Montreal summer.
Place to as clean though I didn't see the washroom.
Menu is simple & focused. They say what they mean & mean what they say when they offer you what's available to eat.
Service is basically wait in a (often long) line that wraps around the perimeter of the interior & then state what you wish to order. So it's as fast as the line is. This being stated once the order is placed it's done within less than 5 minutes.
Overall the food appears & tasted fresh, the bun had a perfect ratio to meat & contents on the burger, the bun was not a overdone'brioche' or some BS bin, just a simple fresh & delicious bun that is not toasted to allow the ingredients flavours standout more.
Toppings are fresh & limited which makes it simple to order.
The portion for the price was competitive however the fries were served in a low level (& hat appears like a cut half way French fry bag) & it cheapened the appearance. Moreover the portion was too small, as fries are the second most profitable after beverages it's not a big deal to add a heaping portion versus one that is essentially just about level. I also believe that they are better off to offer two sized fries & then a family package. The $4.00 is very much a small fry, then a large for $7.00 to which would be a full sized bag (or twice the portion) & then a large at $12.00 or so high could be twice the large size.
The positive side is the fries are cooked to perfection. Not quite think sticks but twice fried, one for interior fluffy potato & a second at higher temp for a light crisp & an exterior. This is a perfect julienne French fry. We had a side of sauce to dip the fries in & the sauce seemed home made - maybe not, but the taste & texture was spot on & I could have guzzled the liquid like a hot toddy.
All in all, not cheap (but what is these days), but well worth the effort to come out this way & enjoy a great burger & fries.
If this restaurant decides to franchise all the well knows burger restaurant in the city have a lot to be scared of as this place blows all the others out of the water hands down!
Petit endroit éclaté , avec un accueil incroyable . Sans être dans le trop friendly j'ai aimé la gentillesse de celui qui prenait ma commande …des fois tout ce joue dans le contact . Les burgers sont juteux , avec un goût exquis ! C'est beaucoup avoir 2 choix bien maîtrisés que trop de choix qui ont pas de goût ! Je le recommande !

Super bon burger, service rapide & top, très propre, belle ambiance mais mieux de manger dehors. Un peu déçu des dirty frites même si c'était très bon.
This is the burger I didn't know I needed.
It is hands down the best smash I've had.

best smash burger experience i've had in montreal.
I took the food out & went to the park nearby only to find out that i did not have a fork for the loaded fries. The simple fix would would have been for me to go back inside & ask for a fork but I was genuinely too embarassed to do that so I just ate the loaded fries with my hands at the park (i had hand sanitizer & napkins guys). Anyways, great stuff.

Flat-out great burgers 🍔. Likely the best I have tried in Montreal.

It's got a'hybrid' vibe between In-N-Out Burger 🍔 from Southwest USA, & Skinny Louie's Burger 🍔 in Miami.
Ma première expérience dimanche le 30 juin pm chez vous & Wow! Smash burger trop bon ainsi que la poutine. Service incroyable. Toi le jeune homme à la caisse, avoir un restaurant à moi, c'est un gars comme toi que je voudrais avoir comme employé! Super belle personnalité & accueillant.ambiance qui me rappelle mon jeune temps j'adore. Je vais revenir assurément.
