This place has an amazing, cozy vibe as soon as you walk in. It feels like an old-school vintage spot filled with memories & great energy. The food exceeded my expectations - I had the Cali burger with a poutine that had a beef patty in it . In addition, it's budget-friendly. I'll definitely be coming back & sharing this amazing spot with my friends.

Overall good fast food, Cali burguer was tasty & Poutine Ol'dirty 2.0 was good not spicy, but fries are too dark maybe overcooked or fried in old oil. A cool street vibe, just to eat but not to stay long, not too ventilated so your clothes might end up smelling.
Best smash burgers in the city with a fun, nostalgic vibe. Go for the Cali. The loaded fries are also great but quite heavy. Poutine is also very solid.
I've heard raving reviews about this place &, in terms of the vibe & staff, they're spot on. The staff are super friendly & fast to serve, & the music & atmosphere in this spot is unique. It's a small basement restaurant, but with enough room to dance to the nice tunes.
The food is where this place loses me. The fries were soggy & mushy, though decently seasoned, but a lot of little bits & potato skin pieces. The burger was extremely greasy, to the point where oil was literally pouring out of the wrapping paper. The burger also looked like it has been squished into a ball, compared to all the gorgeous photos I see in other reviews. It was covered in sauce, which is not bad, because I like a juicy burger, but it was a bit too much. Thankfully, they had given me a mountain of napkins, which were necessary. Worst of all, I found an eyelash (or a short hair) imbedded in the meat of my patty when I was nearly done eating. That completely put me off my food.
I feel like my experience is not the norm, & I want to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but I need some time before I come back to this spot.
This is THE burger you want.
Simple menu, fresh food & a vibe that makes me wish I could have a basement like this.
The input atmosphere is lower because it is very warm inside & the so call terrasse is like a cantina but WHO CARES the food is out of this world.
Note that I am a burger aficionado & this one is the new #1 champion

Flat-out great burgers 🍔. Likely the best I have tried in Montreal.
Juicy, tasty & a simple menu.
It's got a'hybrid' vibe between In-N-Out Burger 🍔 from Southwest USA, & Skinny Louie's Burger 🍔 in Miami.
Si vous n'avez pas encore testé Casse-Croûte MangeDansMonHood, vous passez à côté d'un vrai bijou. Ici, chaque bouchée est un pur bonheur, & l'ambiance est tout aussi mémorable que la bouffe.
Le Cali Burger, c'est du sérieux. Deux galettes de boeuf smashées à la perfection, avec cette croûte bien caramélisée qui fait toute la différence. La sauce maison MDMH ajoute ce petit kick de saveur qui rend le tout hyper addictif. & que dire du pain aux patates moelleux qui vient sublimer chaque bouchée… Franchement, on est dans une autre catégorie de burger.
& les frites ? Du pur bonheur. Croustillantes, dorées juste comme il faut, & avec ce goût authentique qui rappelle les meilleures patateries. Un banger!
Mais ce qui fait vraiment la différence ici, c'est l'énergie de l'endroit & surtout du propriétaire, Boom. Ce gars-là, c'est une légende. Toujours enthousiaste, comique & ultra accueillant, il met direct une ambiance de feu dans le resto. Que ce soit pour discuter, rire ou juste partager son amour de la bonne bouffe, il rend l'expérience encore plus spéciale.
Au final, MangeDansMonHood, ce n'est pas juste un resto, c'est une vibe.
Went on a Friday night & it was very packed, but great vibes. People waiting are respectful & understand the spot has limited seats & a long line-up. They're known for their smash burgers, but i thought it was okay: the bun itself is on the oily side, but the beef patties had nice crispy edges & I loved that. & the fries were soft, but I like those, my friend wasn't a fan & preferred crispy fries.
The best burgers in the city! My go-to spot when I'm craving a burger. The prices are amazing, so reasonable! Also, they have impossible patties if you don't eat meat & it's the best vegetarian burger ever. The cheese fries & poutine are both so delicious too. I could rave on & on about this place all day. Cool vibe, welcoming & friendly staff, & fun atmosphere. Don't expect a fancy sitdown vibe, it is a take-out joint afterall with limited seating but if you do choose to eat in it's a nice experience too

Really good burgers! I don't get to enjoy smash burgers often &
sauce was good, & it wasn't as overly salty as other burger places. I would come back on a more frequent base if I resided closer. Love the entire vibe & very nice staff, quick to deliver. They certainly honed their burger quality by making it their focus.
So happy this place opened not long ago. I had an amazing smash burger (had more than one 😋) & fried & a soft drink.. The open kitchen visible from the stool seating makes for a great vibe while waiting for & eating your food. The taste was excellent, price not too high & service was fairly quick for the amount of orders they had on the go! I would recommend going out of your way to try this place.
What a gem 💎! Love this place. They gave us a warm welcome & help us order our food. The experience & vibe was straight fire 🔥 It reminded me of back in the days hanging in front of a brownstone in Brooklyn NY where everyone knew each other & enjoyed a good food & a good meal. Respect!
One of the best burgers in the city. The whole place has a really good vibe, good music & super detailed decor, a must visit & again, really great burger.
