The best Smashburger in town, bar none. The beef is fresh & well-seasoned, the toppings, sauce, potato buns give it all a nice balance of flavours. Their fries are hand-cut, just a tiny bit thinner than your traditional diner cuts, they hold their housemade poutine sauce very well, the cheese curds are fresh as well. It gets busy around the usual time, but the service is reasonably quick. There are two short sets of stairs, so disability access is limited, however they will accommodate to your needs if you order for pickup & let them know! All-in-all, the everything on the menu is delicious & the people running the joint are incredible!
An absolute must try!! They have one of the best smash burgers in the city. They got a great theme going on, the employees are pleasant to deal with. Been there over 5 times already - definitely one of my go-to spots for some delicious food. Make sure to try their loaded fries, you won't regret itz Highly recommend
Eating here felt like home, don't ask why. Great service with super friendly staff! The decor & overall aesthetic of the place felt like I was with family. The burger itself was really good, paired with a drink from the fridge you can just grab for yourself made for an excellent combo
Disclaimer! Depends who's reading this: This spot gets 5 stars because of the concept, people & vibe- great spot for a great burger in Montreal. Can't deny that. This is where the disclaimer comes in. If you consider yourself a smash burger connoisseur or have eaten at many smash burger spots outside of Montreal then this burger won't really compare. Flavour isn't at the same level (specifically meat taste) & the harmonious experience of the smash burger doesn't feel as much aligned. All that to be said is all my friends love it here & my partner who has never experienced a smash burger before loved it! So again just depends on your experience!
If you like smash burgers you will love this place. Poutine & dirty fries are excellent as well. Hits the spot every time.

Burgers that have truly been smashed by a true master of the burger smash. Definitely smashed (smashed) by a burger smasher. Next time I go will get a smashed burger. This time only had fries (not smashed).
Amazing & complete burger. The fries are a bit particular but good still. The food as much as the place emit a strong sense of identity.
Overall disappointing experience. As fans of the new & old La Belle Tonki, we were looking forward to trying their smash burger joint. We arrived here around 6:30pm & there was already a lineup to order & most of the seats were taken. However, few people were eating. The good: you get the sense that much care & effort was put into the decor & marketing of the place. The walls are covered in cool posters (great conversation starters), the music was fun & the marketing/branding is well thought out. The food itself (once we got it) was delicious, prepared with care, presented nicely. Everything you would expect from a smash burger & fries, but extra. The menu is short & concise. Dirty fries were so good. The bad: the restaurant is located in a small semi basement & only counter/bar stools are available. This would not normally be a problem for a quick eats kind of place. However, after waiting 15 mins to order, we waited another 30 mins to actually receive the food. This wait time seems excessive for 2 burgers & 2 poutines. Finally, the ventilation should be improved because we left the place REEKING of oil. I'm not sure if we came on a off day for this resto but I feel like it is a victim of its success & cannot keep up with current demands. I would recommend trying the food as it was pretty good but don't come here hungry or in a rush.
Tasty food, I had the Cali burger & Ol dirty fries, it was light yet very satisfying, & the sauce is delicious. The team were great, friendly, nice atmosphere. Keep up the great work
The best smash burger in Montreal. It's almost like a speakeasy but a restaurant: there's no clear sign outside, it's cozy, & it feels exclusive. The music is phenomenal (I got to eat a burger while bobbing my head to shook ones part 2) & the eats are great! The old dirty fries are also a must buy. It's great to be able to buy a quality burger for a decent price in this day & age!

My colleague was praising MangeDansMonHood so I finally decided to give it a try. I was very impressed with the atmosphere; great old school hip-hop playing through the speakers, cool nostalgic memorabilia displayed by the cashier, STREET FIGHTER SODA 🤯 The burgers & fries are delicious. I came in during rush hour but it was definitely worth the wait 💯 Definitely worth it if you're a hamburger lover & a hip-hop head.
Cali Burger & Dirty Fries both excellent. Heavy & filling. Worth the premium price.
Best burger spot in Montreal, arguably Canada. Highly recommend the Cali burger & Ol' Dirty Fries. But the Happy burger is also amazing.

Un délicieux burger, une poutine exquise. Nous avons pris le burger Cali, un des meilleurs burgers que nous avons mangé à MTL. Le staff est super friendly, nous avons été servies par Anda, un employé plus que sympathique, & tout le monde est souriant. La poutine était très bonne, ratio de sauce & fromage en grain parfait. Nous serons de retour!
