Je tiens à partager une expérience décevante que j'ai vécue lors de ma visite récente.

La nourriture était correcte & le service, au départ, semblait acceptable. Au moment de payer l'addition, on m'a demandé si tout s'était bien passé avec la nourriture & le service, & j'ai répondu que tout était bien, excellent.

Cependant, juste après, la serveuse m'a demandé directement pourquoi je n'avais pas laissé de pourboire. Cette question m'a mis très mal à l'aise, surtout parce que j'étais accompagné de ma date. Je n'ai pas su quoi répondre sur le moment & la situation est devenue embarrassante.

Je comprends que le pourboire fasse partie de la culture du service, mais demander cela de façon directe au client n'est pas professionnel & crée un malaise inutile. Un client ne devrait jamais se sentir jugé ou forcé à se justifier.

Cette interaction a malheureusement gâché une soirée qui aurait pu être agréable. J'espère que le restaurant pourra sensibiliser son personnel à une approche plus respectueuse envers les clients.

We arrived at Carlos & Pepe's at 7:00 PM with a group of 8 people. After waiting 1 hour & 24 minutes, we were informed that the chef had quit & our food had not even been started.

There were only two staff members trying to manage the entire restaurant - serving tables & attempting to cook at the same time. We truly felt sorry for them, as they were clearly overwhelmed & placed in an impossible situation.

What made this even more frustrating is that no one came to update us. Only after over 1 hour & 15 minutes, when we specifically asked what was happening, were we finally told about the situation.

This is not the level of service you expect from a well-known franchise. Management & ownership at this location need to do much better - both in communication & in ensuring adequate staffing so customers & employees are not put in these situations.
