We arrived at Carlos & Pepe's at 7:00 PM with a group of 8 people. After waiting 1 hour & 24 minutes, we were informed that the chef had quit & our food had not even been started.
There were only two staff members trying to manage the entire restaurant - serving tables & attempting to cook at the same time. We truly felt sorry for them, as they were clearly overwhelmed & placed in an impossible situation.
What made this even more frustrating is that no one came to update us. Only after over 1 hour & 15 minutes, when we specifically asked what was happening, were we finally told about the situation.
This is not the level of service you expect from a well-known franchise. Management & ownership at this location need to do much better - both in communication & in ensuring adequate staffing so customers & employees are not put in these situations.
Pls don't even bother to go, it's an insult to Mexican food this place… tortilla soup taste horrible, tacos are beyond disgusting. They don't even have salsa. They put a purple think as a salad next to the tacos.
Vraiment trop américain, en plus mes légumes étaient plus que caramélisées. Je n'ai pas été en mesure d'apprécié & de manger à ma faim. Est-ce que j'y retournerai, la réponse est JAMAIS !
This place was one of my favorite for margaritas & nachos. So bad I came to visit this time & I knew directly that there are changes in this place

We waited 10 minutes & went to the bar to ask. The waiter was sitting at the bar!

Très très déçue, nouveau proprio ne met plus de chip de maïs ainsi que salsa en entrée comme les autres. Nous avons pris fagitas en trio poulet crevettes steak le tout brûlé calcinés & les tortillas froide avons retourné puisque pas reçu le repas. Je ne recommande pas ce Carlos à Laval centropolis…
Nourriture excellente, bonne portion, bon prix. Mon mojito étais bon & le service étais rapide & j'ai aimé notre serveuse qui étais au petit soin. Belle soirée & superbe ambiance. Musique pas trop forte & pas trop de lumière juste assez. Petit B mole qui n'enlève pas de point mais j'ai envie de le mentionner, il fait vraiment froid dans les toilettes 😂
Nourriture toujours excellente, peu dambiance malgré un jeudi soir, personnel gentil mais ne prend pas en note nos petites demandes particulières pour pimenter notre plat.

Carlos & Pepe's in Laval has become one of my favorite go-to spots for dinner with friends on a whim. The atmosphere is always fun & welcoming, & the service is usually super friendly & attentive. Their drinks are really nice, perfect to start off the night, & the food portions are generous. I especially love the beef nachos-they're loaded, tasty, & perfect for sharing. Always a great experience here, whether it's a casual night out or just craving some good Tex-Mex.
