Caribbean Food Factory receives praise for bold, authentic flavors, especially jerk chicken, oxtail, curry goat, and ackee with saltfish, with many noting generous portions and fair prices; however, service is frequently described as inconsistent and sometimes slow, with issues like missing items, utensils, or late orders, and some delivery experiences lacking care, even as staff can be friendly and the food remains excellent and worth returning for.
The roti was so dry!!! The paper was sticking to the roti skin. You could tell it was clearly microwaved something you DON'T do with roti skin, it was to the point I was even afraid of breaking a tooth,,ridiculous! Not impressed for a restaurant that's been in the business for so long. I clearly won't be buying a roti from there again. The service however was good.
I don't know why the city makes it so difficult to park near this resto, but it's worth the effort. The curry goat was fantastic, with plantains & rice as & sponge bread...yum!

I've been coming to this restaurant for a few years. I've been reading the negative reviews. Yes they're slow on time (which is why i always call an advanced & stay patient) the food is spot on, best jamaican food I've had in Montreal. Yes you might have times where they run out but they always make effort to add something replacement, no dumplings? They'll add more veggies or plantains. No plantains? They'll give you more of something else. They're always open & low on staff. BE PATIENT & UNDERSTANDING GUYS. I can see they're hard working! Much love & respect. Great food is worth the wait! Jah bless
After waiting 15 minutes to order & no one coming to take my order, I kind of stood at the entrance & yelled a hello. An older gentleman came & took my order, he looked inebriated. Another 15 minutes for the food to arrive, & it comes in a to go bag. If I would have wanted my food to go, I could've ordered Uber Eats. The gentleman did not ask me if i wanted him to change it to a plate .. just a'you cah manage'? It would have atleast been nice to have been offered some cutlery instead of just a plastic fork & my fingers. The food was ok. Plantain was a bit undercooked & the rice & peas were dry even though I asked for gravy. The fried chicken & the dumpling was good.
Shitty service all-around. Their online services is especially a MESS. Half the time items are missing, or out of stock (even though the option is shown online).
Whats the point of ordering if you're just gonna get smth completely different than what you had asked for?

We ordered on the phone tonight because we know their service is very slow but tonight takes the cake… I first ordered the sweet & sour shrimp, the guy told me they didn't have shrimp so I asked for sweet & sour chicken instead & extra dumplings. A full hour later when we go get our order, turns out they don't have sweet & sour sauce either, & the dumplings weren't baked yet (might I remind you we went an entire hour after our call specifically to give them time to handle their usual shenanigans). Nobody thought to call us back to inform us, & they just suggested we get something else from the menu.
Conclusion: it's now 11.30pm on a Tuesday, we went for fast food instead & we won't be going back to this restaurant, which is sad since the food is good when you can actually eat what you chose & haven't waited for it for a ridiculous amount of time.
