I was invited to a latte art class at Café Saint-Henri-& let me tell you, it was the perfect blend of cozy vibes & cool coffee culture.
The space? Absolutely gorgeous. Spacious & minimalist, with plenty of natural light, sleek stone surfaces, & just enough greenery to keep things feeling fresh. It's the kind of café where you can truly settle in-whether you're solo-working, catching up with a friend, or (like me) trying your hand at some latte art.
For the class, we used their Holy Cow Guatemalan espresso blend-& wow. Smooth & complex, with notes of caramel, black cherry, & cocoa that linger beautifully. Honestly? I'd drink it straight-no milk needed.
I'm definitely heading back soon to explore the rest of their menu.

Café Saint-Henri in Villeray is a solid choice for good coffee. The atmosphere is pleasant, making it a nice place to relax or get some work done. Friendly staff. Le café est bon mais pour avoir travailler tout ma vie dans le service je peux dire qui a grande place a l'amelioration, les barista repondent au clients tard apres leur arrivée & le font sur un ton qui donne l'impression qu'ils s'en « calissent » ou comme si on rentrais dans leur maison. J'y vais souvent pour travailler, les bancs sont grandement inconfortables & la plupart des table sont basse ce qui conclut a un mal de dos apres min 30 minutes. I've been coming here for a couple of years now & need to say it's really starting to go downhill. The tables are often dirty, the service is often slow, the food menu is unreliable, & a lot of the tables & chairs are falling apart to the point of being hard to use. I miss the way this cafe used to be. On top of all this, they haven't made the very simple modification of a handrail on the stairs at the front door to help with accessibility.View more
