5 stars on everything. From the coffee, staff & overall setting. Cafe Rico has the best coffee beans in all of Montreal at reasonable prices. I get their decaf as I can only drink it due to a health condition. Their decaf is the BEST as it is full bodied, robust, not bitter & has a perfect mouthfeel. I drink predominantly espresso & their beans taste amazing even when I am in the mood for a latte, cappuccino or macchiato it never disappoints. Other decafs at other bruleries taste more watered down & are highly acidic. My friends who come & have a coffee cannot believe how good it is & I converted them to Cafe Rico. Best prices for beans in all Montreal. If I went elsewhere for a kilo I would definitely be paying alot more for something inferior. It is a pleasure to come in & see the people behind the counter who actually love being there. They are very pleasant & always helpful.

I never leave reviews but I love this place so much. They use coffee iced cubes so your drinks don't water down, their staff is awesome, their prices are unbeatable & everything is fair trade. Literally could not ask for a better coffee shop to be so close to my place!

We stopped in at Cafe Rico during a Montreal day trip. The space was cozy & smelled incredible. The baristas were very friendly & were cranking through orders with ease. Upon ordering, I realized they had limited payment options & quickly apologized & said we'd have to cancel our order. One of the staff asked what we were getting & said he'd happily cover our order. I was blown away & asked if he was sure. He responded with'It's about the joy of serving you!' & smiled. Obviously, this was hugely appreciated & absolutely made my day. Then sat down & enjoyed one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had. This along with the nonstop line of customers coming in to get coffee beans, drinks, & baked goods gave me an obvious thought: Cafe Rico is the bomb.

I heard their coffee is really good around the area, so we decided to garb a latte. We entered to the store around the store opening. There are already busy, so my expectation got higher. I enjoyed coffee smells, I could hear they grind coffee beans. I noticed that lots of customers purchased coffee beans. Baristas, cashier were very friendly. I was looking forward to drink my but unfortunately it was lacking espresso taste, & watery. I even couldn't finish it…it was sad for me. I am hoping to try coffee beans or drip coffee next time though! There are a lot of different regions beans, & fair tread beans too. Looks nice! Just additional information-they don't take Credit cards.
