The space was cozy & smelled incredible. The baristas were very friendly & were cranking through orders with ease. Upon ordering, I realized they had limited payment options & quickly apologized & said we'd have to cancel our order. One of the staff asked what we were getting & said he'd happily cover our order. I was blown away & asked if he was sure. He responded with'It's about the joy of serving you!' & smiled. Obviously, this was hugely appreciated & absolutely made my day. Then sat down & enjoyed one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had. This along with the nonstop line of customers coming in to get coffee beans, drinks, & baked goods gave me an obvious thought: Cafe Rico is the bomb.
Un endroit abordable pour acheter ses beans de café. Personnel sympathique!!!
I come here to buy my coffee beans every chance I get. The staff are super friendly. The beans are somewhere between a high end boutique bean & a grocery store one - & the price is more than fair. Come & stay for an espresso & a piece of baklava 😊
I've been buying coffee beans, cocoa powder, & other sundries here since the mid-2000s, when they used to be located on Rachel. Fairtrade, highly affordable, great quality, huge selection... I've never found anything comparable, either online or in-store in other montreal cafe.
I heard their coffee is really good around the area, so we decided to garb a latte. We entered to the store around the store opening. There are already busy, so my expectation got higher. I enjoyed coffee smells, I could hear they grind coffee beans. I noticed that lots of customers purchased coffee beans. Baristas, cashier were very friendly. I was looking forward to drink my but unfortunately it was lacking espresso taste, & watery. I even couldn't finish it…it was sad for me. I am hoping to try coffee beans or drip coffee next time though! There are a lot of different regions beans, & fair tread beans too. Looks nice! Just additional information-they don't take Credit cards.
Friendly, helpful, courteous, & efficient helpers. The taste & smell of coffee was good. I trusted my friend who bought their coffee beans as gifts for her European friends. But, there are very few uncomfortable spaces to sit.
I buy coffee beans from here. It's the best, most affordable beans you'll find in Montreal. Super friendly staff to boot! If you're buying coffee beans, look no further in my opinion.
