About

Café Parka operates as a dedicated neighborhood hub specializing in high-quality roasted coffee beans and a curated selection of artisanal snacks. Patrons encounter a minimalist aesthetic characterized by exposed brick walls and communal wooden tables designed for focused tasks or casual conversation. The menu prioritizes seasonal single-origin pour-overs alongside freshly prepared pastries that rotate based on local ingredient availability. A focus on precision brewing methods ensures that each cup maintains a consistent flavor profile regardless of the specific bean roast currently in rotation. Efficient counter service facilitates rapid turnaround for individuals seeking premium beverages while maintaining a tranquil environment for those remaining on the premises. This establishment serves as a functional pillar for enthusiasts who value technical expertise in coffee preparation and a refined, uncluttered space for their daily caffeine requirements.

Review Summary

Café Parka is widely regarded as a charming, minimalist destination known for its high-quality matcha, expertly pulled espresso, and delicious selection of cookies and pastries. While many visitors praise the welcoming atmosphere, aesthetic appeal, and friendly service, common critiques point to the limited seating, higher price points, and long wait times during peak hours. Although experiences with coffee consistency vary, the café is frequently described as a cozy neighborhood gem, perfect for a quick grab-and-go experience near the park.

I was originally enticed by the many matcha flavours this place had. When I entered, the wall was lined with high quality, expensive matcha they sold. I thought perhaps this place would take their matcha lattes seriously. The matcha latte itself was a bit expensive, but I didn't mind, especially as I expected quality. Unfortunately, the matcha I got was a light green. It didn't taste like matcha at all. I got the blueberry flavour, & I felt like I was sipping on blueberry milk the entire time. I was a bit disappointed since I don't live in the area & did the road specifically for this place. This felt like throwing money out the window.

Coffee was ok but a bit on the expensive side. Service is really bad. The two young ladies kept chit chatting together & made me feel unwelcomed as if I should be grateful I had my lattee. I regret the tip I gave them, from now on I would only tip in cash after the service, & not before.

This restaurant exceeded every expectation. From the start, the warm atmosphere made us feel welcome. The menu had great variety, all made with fresh ingredients. Every course was prepared to absolute perfection. The staff were attentive & helpful. An unforgettable dining experience!

I really like the look of this place, the interior is beautiful & the use of green is right up my alley. The service was good as well. The cookies were also nice, had the red velvet one & it was soft & full of chocolate. The only real let down is the coffee, I had a latte & the coffee had a weird aftertaste & wasn't really enjoyable. That's why I'm giving it a lower review because the coffee is really the cornerstone of any coffee shop, despite the good service, cookies & the beautiful design.

Update! Got a latte here again & so much better, delicious & well made. Seems like they changed it up :)

Stopped by on a whim & had a great time. I tried their latte & espresso. Both were quite good (beans from Escape if you're wondering). I also had a great conversation with the barista Melodie, mostly about coffee. She was so lovely & patient enough with my broken French. I'd love to come again, in the summer.

Most expensive decaf Latte in MONTREAL. Paid $8.64 for a latte that was quite frankly average & was half full with foam. Server did it all without a small. Was charged extra 60 cents for decaf & an Extra $1 because I asked for a large size. Which just meant more foam (not milk) in my cup. It was supposed to be a latte not a cappuccino. We desperately need competition in TMR. It unfortunate because if their prices we significantly more reasonable i'd be there every day...instead I usually walk bye & grab a coffee once i get downtown (via the rem) The location is very small but quaint . When it first opened I was thrilled - now I the ocassion experience just leaves me feel cheated. LAST TIME.
